Spiritual Alignment 16/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

Patience, persistence, and perseverance are words we like to avoid.  We have moved past the need for longsuffering to patience because that is a nicer way to say it.  However, longsuffering is a much more descriptive term to what is taking place.  Whatever you happen to call it, it takes work to continue in the faith of believing for your breakthrough into the next level.  I encourage you to look to Jesus from Whom comes your help.  May you be long-prospering even as you move past longsuffering.

Every single one of us are walking through this life.  No one is exempt from the troubles and hardships the world has to bring.  I would love to tell you that as you seek the Lord, you become perfect and can live somewhere in a bubble of perfect communion with God that will take you out of the world and make everything okay.  This is not the case.  In fact Jesus said:

John 17:15I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.”

At one time, the followers of Christ thought to create a separate culture like a monastery or convent that was set apart from the world, but Jesus never meant for this to happen.  You are meant to be His shining light in the middle of a dark world that many may see His light shining through you and be drawn to Him by your words and actions.  The way you respond in the same negative situations that others are going through should be a testimony to the greatness and glory of God in you.

Sadly, we often do not handle the circumstances of life much different than the people in the world.  Because of our weak humanity, we fall into complaining, pain, despair, and even the depression and darkness that plagues the world.  This happens because our flesh and soul have not yet come into line with The Holy Spirit yet.  It is a process to ‘work out our salvation”  that we may truly become one with Him.

The heroes of the faith did not have it any easier than we do, and we even have recorded many of David’s passionate prayers and cries for help as he was going through terrifying life ordeals.  From him, we discover a key to bringing our flesh and soul into line with God’s plans and purposes even in the middle of the daily struggles.

Psalm 69:10 When they see me seeking for more of you with weeping and fasting,
they all just scoff and scorn at my passion.

Vs. 13 But I keep calling out to you, Yahweh! I know you will bend down to listen to me,
for now is the season of favor. Because of your faithful love for me, your answer to my prayer will be my sure salvation.

David reveals a secret into aligning our flesh and soul with Holy Spirit that many would pass over.  He is seeking more of God with passionate prayer and fasting.  Even when others would make fun of him for it, he is persistent.  He continues on.  David has so much confidence that God will come through to help in the situation, he does not care what others may say about his “pitiful cries for help”.  Prayer and fasting cause our soul to come into line with Holy Spirit in a way that nothing else can.  Fasting reveals our flesh and the prayer helps us give those things that arise over to God in the correct way.  These two together help us to truly become longsuffering.  A transformation begins to happen within us that creates the ability to weather the storms of this life and even be a witness in the most tragic circumstances.  This process continues as we continually seek Jesus and are changed by Him.

Jesus, I need you today.  My flesh and soul are constantly trying to pull me into world ways and earthly thinking, but I desire to be like you.  As I pray and fast, strip off the ways of the world and help me come into perfect alignment with You and Holy Spirit.  Even in the trials and tragedies of life, help me to shine brightly who You are because I run to you quickly for help in my time of need.  Give me the ability to be a true longsuffering light in the darkness!

Practical –

  • Ask Holy Spirit to help you see where He is working
  • Ask for strength and assurance that He is with you
  • Live your life with the perseverance He brings
  • Shine the glory of God in the dark situations

Be blessed today to see the glory of The Lord in the land of the living.  Even in the intense darkness, may you know He is with you and shine brightly His glory as you are propelled into the next level with Him.

Precipitating The Latter Rain 11/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

It is time once again to examine our reasons to commit to The 40.  We must constantly refresh the reason behind the fast or we will be drawn away by the enticements of the world to what may seem better.

Why have you committed to press in to The Lord through fasting?

Whatever your reason may be for going into this fast, today, I want to give you another one. Fasting precipitates the Latter Rain.  The former generation experienced what they refer to as the Latter Rain and there have been many prophecies about the former and latter rain coming together in these days ahead using the passage Joel 2:23.  Though this is the passage used by so many about the coming releasing of The Spirit in a mighty way, few know the context in Joel during this time.  Another passage of scriptures you may know well is Joel 2:28-32.

Joel 2:28-29 “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions. 29 And also on My menservants and  on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

This may be one of the most referred to passages in the charismatic church especially since it is referenced by Peter in Acts 2:17-21 when the Holy Spirit comes upon the disciples in such a powerful way.  Again, it seems that no one knows the context of what is happening in the book of Joel preceding this.  We often overlook “minor” details that can lead us to a true revelation to how God wants to bring about what He has promised conditionally.  It is especially important to view the context because this passage starts with, me paraphrasing, these things will take place after something else happens.

If you read the book of Joel, this is a time of tremendous devastation in the entire land of Judah.  An enormous plague of locusts had come and stripped the entire country of all vegetation.  Famine and drought as well as starvation and death of man and animals was taking place.  This was the worst possible moment in the people’s lives, and they needed a solution.  The prophet Joel came with a solution:

Joel 1:13-14 Gird yourselves and lament, you priests; Wail, you who minister before the altar; Come, lie all night in sackcloth, You who minister to my God; For the grain offering and the drink offering Are withheld from the house of your God. 14 Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly; Gather the elders And all the inhabitants of the land
Into the house of the Lord your God, And cry out to the Lord.

The solution for this crisis is humility, repentance, prayer, and fasting.  This plague was a result of the people’s constant refusal to turn to God and follow His ways.  Therefore, He allows the effects of their disobedience to come upon them.  Turning back to Him is the only way to change their situation, and fasting is a sign of a true repentance and humbling of the heart.

In case the people did not want to take the advice of a mere prophet of God, The Lord Himself gives the solution for their problem in the very next chapter:

Joel 2:12-13 “Now, therefore,” says the Lord“Turn to Me with all your heart,
With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”  13 So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.

Here, God calls for repentance, fasting, and prayer.  Fasting is a true evidence of a desire to change and come into line with God and His purposes instead of partnering with our own flesh.  This is what will cause the grace and mercy of Heaven to be made evident in our lives.  This is not just a call for certain group of people like the holy priests or pastors.  Vs. 15-17 tells us that it is for:

  • People
  • The Congregation
  • Elders
  • Children
  • Babies
  • Newlyweds
  • Priests

No one is left out of this call to come to the Lord in repentance, fasting, and prayer.  No this is not a mandatory thing.  However, this is what is referring to in Vs. 28 after you come as an entire people in humility, repentance, fasting, and prayer then God will pour out His Spirit.  The apostles received The Holy Spirit after waiting and in unity in The Upper Room for 10 days.  We know they were praying together, but I believe they were fasting as well.  The outbreak of The Spirit at Azusa was a result of 10 days of fasting and praying together.

Here we are, committed to The Lord and each other for The 40.  What can God do with our hearts that come to Him in humility, repentance, fasting, and prayer?

Jesus, I ask that you will take this simple offering of my life, my commitment to you and use it for Your Kingdom.  I desire for The Great Outpouring of The Spirit that has so often been talked about.  I come to you in humility, repentance, fasting, and prayer right now.  Come and move in a mighty way that you may receive the glory that is due Your name!!!

Practical –

  • Read Joel 1-2
  • Ask Holy Spirit to reveal how you can partner with Him in your personal prayer time
  • Ask Him to reveal how to call your community into humility, repentance, fasting, and prayer
  • Be obedient to all that He speaks.

Be blessed with the power to partner with Holy Spirit in precipitating the Latter Rain.  May this lifestyle propel you into the next level with Him!

The Kairos Moment for the Emerging and Enlisting: Draft of the Burning Ones

A time ago while in prayer, the Lord began to speak an incredible word for now and the coming days. As I typed it up, I began to feel the Lord impress upon my spirit how truly important this word was and He put forth an urgency in the spirit of the time in which we have now entered into. He began to impress upon me the importance of calling a world-wide fast again for this kairos moment in time; but He would not let me share the word or call the fast in the time that I recorded the word.

I spent the next month praying about His timing and then my fiery husband, Jeremiah, came to me and said that he felt God calling for a 40-day fast that was to begin on August 26th – October 4th. There was my answer. I also did not feel led to release this word yet and felt that Jeremiah was to be the one to call the fast. After continued prayer, I feel the time is now to share the word. Jeremiah has been posting encouragements and prayer/activation focuses daily (which can be found in the “Propel Fast” tab in the categories on the right; and more info on the Propel Fast here).

I heard the voice of the Lord saying:

“Doors of great proportion are open to usher in great waves.  Do you hear them now? Do you hear their sound crashing against the shore of arrival? Do you see them rolling in? Surely, the Son’s reflection will be seen upon the surface of the deep and He will have His reward!

WHERE ARE THEY WHO WOULD CATCH THE WAVE AND RIDE UPON IT WITH ME?!

WHERE ARE THEY WHO WOULD RISE UP AND TAKE HOLD OF THIS DIVINE INVITATION TO BE A PART OF SOMETHING GREATER AND MORE ASTOUNDING THAN ANYTHING EVER SEEN?!

Do you see My Son leading the charge and leading the way? Yes, I am issuing a decree across the nations, a draft, calling on My Burning Ones to come out of their caves of isolation and the wilderness of preparation!

Now! Now is the time for the emerging and the enlisting!

My eyes search from the east to the west, the north to the south and everything in between for the ‘YES’ men whose hearts are ablaze and who are prepared to abandon it all and give their lives for the completion of this mission.

Come forth! Come out of your hiding! Come step into your purpose and fulfill your call to fulfill the deep desire of My heart!

Your weapons are on the shore of decision, awaiting their retrieval as you jump into the waters. Surely, D-Day is upon you and not a single stone will remain unturned as the waves crash upon the shores of salvation!

Are you ready? I have given you all you need to be ready…Are YOU ready?

It is bigger than you think! More vast than you know! Here come the waves!!!”

I have heard the Lord use the phrase D-Day before, particularly one year ago. I questioned then what He meant by it and began to research it; so when He spoke this phrase again to me, I had a sense of what He was declaring into the atmosphere with this word.

D-DAY: “In the military, D-Day is the day on which a combat attack or operation is to be initiated, the unnamed day on which an operation commences or is due to commence, the day on which an important operation is to begin or a change to take effect.”

I continued to research and process His phrasings, particularly in regards to military language and discovered this:

DRAFT: “Conscription is commonly known as the draft, but the concepts are not exactly the same. Conscription is the compulsory induction of individuals into the Armed Services, whereas the draft is the procedure by which individuals are chosen for conscription.”

ENLISTMENT: “An enlistment is the period of time for which one is committed to military service.” “Enlisted Soldiers are the most important part of the Army structure. They carry out orders and complete missions. As a Soldier, you will be challenged to accomplish tasks that will put your abilities to the test, and you will discover talents that you never dreamed you had.”

Beloved, we have transitioned into a kairos moment in time where God is extending the invitation to join His Army to take down demonic strongholds and principalities over people, families, cities, regions, and nations.

THE TIME FOR WAR ON INACTION IS NOW!

If you thought you could escape the draft into holiness by hiding in the shadows and caves of sin, you are gravely mistaken. This is a war over souls that we are talking about. If we are not for the Lord in everything, then we are His enemies. He is not looking for half-hearted soldiers who will bail the moment things get intense. He is looking for abandoned warriors set on completing the mission set before them…AT ANY COST. You have to be cleansed and made holy to be a part of this Army. His Holy Spirit will not flow through an unholy vessel.

His secret operation is kicking into effect. Who will commit to this time of empowerment to overthrow the kingdom of darkness?! Who will die to self that breakthrough would come not just in our own lives, but our families, government, and in the nations?!

Joel 3:9-16 (NLT)
“Say to the nations far and wide: ‘GET READY FOR WAR! Call out your best warriors. Let all your fighting men advance for the attack. Hammer your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears.

TRAIN EVEN YOUR WEAKLINGS TO BE WARRIORS. COME QUICKLY, all you nations everywhere. Gather together in the valley.’

And now, O Lord, CALL OUT YOUR WARRIORS! ‘LET THE NATIONS BE CALLED TO ARMS. LET THEM MARCH to the valley of Jehoshaphat. There I, the Lord, will sit to pronounce judgment on them all.

SWING THE SICKLE, FOR THE HARVEST IS RIPE! COME, TREAD THE GRAPES, FOR THE WINEPRESS IS FULL. THE STORAGE VATE ARE OVERFLOWING…’

THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS ARE WAITING IN THE VALLEY OF DECISION. THERE THE DAY OF THE LORD WILL SOON ARRIVE….The Lord’s voice will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth will shake. But the Lord will be a refuge for His people, a strong fortress for the people of Israel.”

Joel 1:14-15 (MSG) says to “Declare a holy fast…get the leaders together, round up everyone in the country. Get them into God’s Sanctuary for serious prayer to God…The Strong God has arrived. This is serious business!”

Joel gives us an empowering picture of what this Army of the Lord, His Burning Ones looks like in Joel 2:1-11:

“Like dawn light moving over the mountains, a huge army is coming. There’s never been anything like it and never will be again.” … “A fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns; the land is like the Garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; surely nothing shall escape them.” … they charge forward like warhorses…they leap along the mountaintops…like the roar of fire sweeping across a field of stubble, or like a mighty army moving into battle.”

Their enemies flee with terror. “They run like warriors; they climb the wall like soldiers.” … “The invaders charge. They climb barricades. Nothing stops them. Each soldier does what he’s told, so disciplined, so determined. They don’t get in each other’s way. Each one knows his job and does it. Undaunted and fearless, unswerving, unstoppable. They storm the city, swarm its defenses, loot the houses, breaking down doors, smashing windows. They arrive like an earthquake, sweep through like a tornado.

“The Lord utters His voice before His army, for His camp is very great, because strong and powerful is he who [obediently] carries out His word…”

Truly the Harvest is Ripe! Thousands upon thousands are waiting in the valley of decision, awaiting the day of their visitation unto salvation!

Who will be the warriors advancing forth, trampling foes and ransacking enemy encampments, taking back possession of what was stolen?!

Who will be the boots on the ground who refuse to quit, give in, relent, or back down to bring the Gospel to the ends of the earth?!

Join us on this journey! If this is you, then welcome to the Burning Ones Army! Greater things are to come! Let us know of your commitment so we may be mutually encouraged in the faith and as Hebrews 10:38-39 reminds us:

WE WILL NOT DRAW BACK IN FEAR BUT PRESS IN AND PRESS THROUGH FOR THE FULL SALVATION, HEALING, AND DELIVERANCE OF THE SOUL!!!!

Accomplish The “Impossible” 9/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

Most of us have started The 40 with high expectations, however, now the real work begins.  The day to day living it out can be hard since we must constantly seek to overrule our flesh and give ourselves to the Lord.

Now is the time to encourage ourselves in The Lord the benefits of keeping The 40 and continuing to walk with Holy Spirit in spite of what our bodies might be telling us.

Prayer and fasting gives us the power to accomplish the “impossible”.  Of course, we know that “nothing shall be impossible with God”, yet we still live our lives with “impossible” situations which do not seem to respond to us.

Jesus’ disciples had this same problem while He was on the mount being transfigured.  A man whose son is assaulted by demons asks for their help.  Though they try, they can do nothing about it.  When Jesus returns, He easily casts out the demons and heals the boy.  He does not seem to be impressed with His disciples’ efforts either.  The disciples come to Him and ask why they could not do the same.  This is His response:

Matthew 17:20 “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

We do not know what was going on in the disciples’ minds, but Jesus did not ever shy away from directly addressing what people said in their hearts.  I believe the disciples did not see a response and had blamed it on not having enough faith.  Jesus directly confronts this with The Kingdom Truth that the smallest amount of faith can do the mightiest things in His Kingdom.  They had let doubt creep in and this kept them from pressing in to see transformation take place.

Then, Jesus says something else interesting that some translations completely leave out.

Matthew 7:21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

What kind is Jesus talking about?

Some would say demons, but I think He is talking about the unbelief.  Unbelief is a pesky little problem that constantly assaults our media-driven culture.  If we cannot see or hear something happening, it is quite hard for us to believe.  We can never see the shifting in the heavens when our eyes are on worldly circumstances.

If unbelief keeps us back from doing mighty work in The Kingdom, we should be quick to follow Jesus’ cure for it, prayer and fasting.  This dynamite duo is able to demolish and disintegrate the demonic unbelief that has built up in our lives.  This is how we say, “God I trust You to take care of the unseen as I partner with You in the physical.  I need you to do the “impossible” work of overcoming these spiritual obstacles in me while I do the possible work, with Your help, of prayer and fasting.”

Jesus, help me to know that you have given me a measure of faith.  This faith has the power to overcome every seeming impossible thing in my life and those around me.  Help me to join with you in prayer and fasting that all unbelief within me will be destroyed and Your mountain-moving faith will be displayed for all to come and glorify You.

Practical –

  • Ask Holy Spirit to reveal the things in your life and around you that you have labeled as impossible
  • Pray that every ounce of unbelief is removed from your life
  • Participate with Him in doing the impossible whatever He shows you to do

Be blessed with the power to remove all doubt and do the impossible as you walk with God in obedience and humility.  May this propel you into new levels in The Kingdom!

Shifting The Heavens 8/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

Today starts week 2, we thank God for His grace and mercy to get us this far, and we ask for divine strength to continue The 40 as we have purposed in our hearts.

Right now, you may not notice anything happening in the earth, but there is a shifting taking place in the heavens. The heavenly realm is moved when a son or daughter of God humbles themselves and lays down their life for The King.

2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.

God’s eyes are upon you to strengthen you and sustain you.  Invite Him to come and strengthen you even now.

God responds to faith, as we see in Hebrews 11, and fasting is true faith in God as your sustainer.  Humility causes God to move in a mighty way, and fasting and prayer actually turns God’s heart to mercy, grace, and compassion for those crying out to Him.

Consider my two-year old’s favorite story, the story of Jonah.  An unwilling prophet is compelled to obedience to speak a word of judgment to a horribly wicked city.  He speaks a simple word “yet forty days and the city of Nineveh will be overthrown”, and the people believe God.  These are not righteous God-fearing Jews, but pagan idol-worshiping, murdering, adulterous people.  In spite of all this, they believed God.  These people who did not even know our God turned to Him and cried out in repentance, fasting, and prayer for every man and beast.  The king offers this statement, “Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish?”  the heavens were shifted over the region of Nineveh (more than 120,000 people), and God relented from what He said he would do.

How is this possible?  How is this even fair?

Humility, repentance, fasting, and prayer shifted the heavens from judgment to mercy and grace.  God has both justice and mercy, grace and truth in His nature.  However, you have the power to shift the Heavens in your life and even the city or region you live in.  God has placed you where you are for a reason, and He has called you to The 40 for a reason.

As you continue into week 2, let this be an encouragement to you.  You are contending for you, your family, your neighbors, your city, your nation, and the nations around the world.  You have been given the ability to shift the Heavens!  Don’t give up! Don’t back down!  Press in to fulfill your purpose in The Kingdom even if you cannot see the change taking place in front of your eyes.

Jesus, help us to be the ones that come to you in humility, repentance, fasting, and prayer. We desire to transform our homes, neighborhoods, regions, and nations.  We desire Your Kingdom to come in a mighty way, help us to be the ones that bring about this change, even as you change our hearts to come more into line with Your heart.

Practical –

  • Read Jonah 3
  • Ask Holy Spirit to give you a heart for where he has placed you
  • Ask to be the change
  • Be obedient to all that God speaks

Be blessed to be the change that transforms every area of society as Holy Spirit propels you into the next level with Him!

Holiness Leads to Harvest 7/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

On the final day of week 1, I wanted to align our focus once again upon the things on God’s heart.  God’s heart is for all of His children to become one with Him.  Because of this, there are two things I will hone in on today.

Holiness –

Please read 2 Corinthians 6:16 -18 for context.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

God yearns for us to live and walk in increasing holiness both in body and spirit.  He requires continual advancement of purity of heart if we are to be allowed access into the secret places with Him.  Too many times, holiness and purity can seem to be some sort of stoic legalism that keeps us from doing all the “fun” stuff.  All of this supposed “fun” stuff creates barriers between us and a Holy God.  He cannot allow the filthiness of the world to enter the Holy of Holies for it would be consumed in His Holy Fire and us along with it.

It is for this reason that Father God is continually calling us to holiness that we may truly come close to Him.  The more we are cleansed from the sin and death of the world, the closer we can come to our Holy Father.  Repenting, confessing, and continuing to walk in purity and holiness give intimate access into a holy relationship between The Holy Father and His sons and daughters.  His longing is to dwell continually with us.  He craves to walk with you and Father you as true sons and daughters. Sons and daughters are forever becoming like their Father.

Harvest –

Matthew 9:36-38 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

The heart of The Father flowing through The Son caused him to see a lost humanity waiting to be gathered into His family.  What is the solution to this problem?  Pray for the laborers! God needs His representatives, His sons and daughters, to go and bring in The Great Harvest of souls.  God desires all of His children to become sons and daughters.

Immediately after this in chapter 10, Jesus sends out the disciples to do exactly what He had been doing and bring in The Harvest.  When sons and daughters draw close to The Father, they will receive His heart of compassion for the lost.  My former youth pastor calls them pre-Christians, because they have not yet come to know Jesus, but they will in Jesus’ name!!!

Read Isaiah 6:1-6 for context

Vs 7-8 And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged.” Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

One final example that brings holiness and harvest together comes in the call of Isaiah.  Isaiah actively places himself in a position to receive from God.  He sees The Holiness of God and is immediately driven to repentance for himself and his people.  God is faithful to cleanse him completely.  After that, he accesses a secret conversation taking place in the heavenlies.  Having received a new heart, his desire is to immediately go for God without any information or limitation.  Our desire should be no different.  When we are touched, cleansed, and restored; our heart will be for others to receive the same no matter what kind of effort it may take from us.

Jesus, I pray that You will help me to become truly like You. I want to be free of all the filth of the world that I might have intimate access to the secret place with You.  Draw me closer than ever before even as I confess everything that has taken me far from You.

Father, transform me to have Your heart for all Your lost and wayward children.  Use me as a laborer in The Great Harvest that all the multitudes of pre-Christians may become part of Your family because of my love and obedience to You.

Practical –

  • Ask Holy Spirit to examine your life and reveal anything out of line with His Holiness.
  • Confess this and ask to be cleansed and purified by Jesus’ blood
  • Ask for The Father’s Heart of compassion for souls
  • Obey all that God asks you to say or do

Be blessed with the ability to walk in holiness and access the secret places of The Kingdom!  Be blessed to truly receive the heart of The Father and live a lifestyle laboring in The Great Harvest of souls!!!

The Great Sift for the Shift: The Call to Holiness

There is a great shaking in the Body of Christ taking place in this season. We are seeing many respected leaders falling away and leaving their faith, accusations of misconduct coming forth towards others, and many are in the throes of warfare and demonic opposition. In recent weeks the Lord has put a heaviness upon my heart and spirit towards His holiness; and I have felt extremely led to hide away in the secret place with Him. In the past few days He began to remind me of a number of dreams and words that He gave me drawing towards this shaking that is taking place. I did not understand much of it at the time, however He is beginning to open the eyes of my understanding to see and know what He is speaking and revealing.

In the coming days I will share some of these dreams and words as He leads. I truly believe that we are in a time where God is shaking His Church right-side up and that He is enacting a greater call and command into His holiness. While praying and dwelling on this, I heard Him say:

“There will come a great sift for the shift. Things cannot stay the same and remain as they were; for where I am going, anything that is unclean and unholy cannot enter through the door. The door is narrow and only that which reflects My holiness and glory can enter through it.
Do not be surprised at what you see in the days ahead as I continue the sifting and shaking. I am sifting out all of the junk, the dross that hinders My Bride from entering into true purity and reverence of My name and nature.
No longer can My Bride remain straddled upon an imaginary fence, enjoying the fleeting pleasures of this life while being double-minded and half-hearted. This really is an ALL IN OR NOT IN AT ALL kairos moment in time.
For behold, a door stands before those with eyes to see, ears to hear, and a holy heart of wisdom and understanding. My voice is beckoning them higher into the unseen realm, the realm where Righteousness dwells!
Where are they who would put away the pleasures of this life for that which cannot be taken away?! Where are they who would seek My face above all other earthly things?! Where are they who would be Living Light; manifestations of My holiness in the earth?!

img_6725.jpgMoses never got to feast on the fruits of the land long promised him, nor was he allowed to even set foot in it. He was only allowed to gaze upon it from a distance and had to watch a new generation be risen up to take possession of it.

How could it be that the man whom God had raised up to be a deliverer for His chosen people would never see the fullness of the deliverance?

How could it be that the man whom God refers to as His friend would be the greatest betrayer of his day?

How could it be that the one man whom God allowed into His glory time and time again, whose very face shone with the glory of God, and who met with God face to face, would be removed from that Presence at the end of his days?

God clearly reveals to us the answer in the following passages:

Numbers 20:6-13 (AMP)
Then Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the doorway of the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle) and fell on their faces [before the Lord in prayer]. Then the glory and brilliance of the Lord appeared to them; and the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
“Take the rod; and you and your brother Aaron assemble the congregation and speak to the rock in front of them, so that it will pour out its water. In this way you shall bring water for them out of the rock and let the congregation and their livestock drink [fresh water].”
So Moses took the rod from before the Lord, just as He had commanded him;  and Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly before the rock. Moses said to them, “Listen now, you rebels; must WE bring you water out of this rock?”
Then Moses raised his hand [in anger] and with his rod he struck the rock twice [instead of speaking to the rock as the Lord had commanded]. And the water poured out abundantly, and the congregation and their livestock drank [fresh water].
But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you have not believed (trusted) Me, to treat Me as holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, you therefore shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them. These are the waters of Meribah (contention, strife), where the sons of Israel contended with the Lord, and He showed Himself holy among them.

In Deuteronomy 32:49-52, the Lord told Moses to go upon a mountain and overlooking the Promised Land; but he would die and never enter it. In verse 51, God says, For both of you betrayed Me with the Israelites at the waters of Meribah at Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin. You failed to demonstrate My holiness to the people of Israel there.

When we fail to be a manifestation and demonstration of the holiness of God through our very existence, we have lost our fixation upon the ONE THING.

Things started out great; they went into the secret place and the Presence and Glory of God resonated in their midst. However, Moses lost sight of what God commanded, which was to declare to the rock the promise of living waters that were to come forth.

Moses became more fixated on man and emotions and allowed them to lead him into the grievous sin of attempting to touch God’s glory.

He struck the rock and yes, waters flowed forth; but he disobeyed God and he operated out of self-glory (must WE bring you water out of this rock?”). He performed a sign and wonder out of the anointing without the holiness and glory of God covering it. Therefore, God showed Himself holy among them through the act because Moses did not partner with Him in the miracle.

Sadly, because of that act, Moses’ promise was stripped from him and he was forced to gaze at a distance the Promised Land he gave his life for.

We see in 2 Corinthians 3:13 that Moses put a veil over his face to hide the diminishing glory.

If we take on the likeness of that which we behold, then the glory glow on Moses’ face was a direct reflection and manifestation of that which he beheld as he stood
FACE TO FACE with the HOLY GOD.
In Moses wearing a veil over his face, it was intended to hide the diminishing glory.
The betrayal God is talking about in the passages above includes that Moses failed to demonstrate His Holiness because he began to lose sight of FIXING HIS EYES ON THE HOLY GOD. Out of this failing, HE FELL INTO UNBELIEF.

DO NOT EVER LOSE SIGHT OF THE ONE MAIN THING!!!
FIX YOUR EYES OF JESUS!!!

In Leviticus 10:1-3, Nadab and Abihu disobeyed the Lord by burning before Him the wrong kind of fire, different than He had commanded.” Their disobedience and lack of reverence for what is holy cost them their lives as the fire of God burned them up. Moses told Aaron, “This is what the Lord meant when He said, ‘I will display My holiness through those who come near Me. I will display My glory before all the people.’

We will all face the Holy Fire of God. We will either pass through it and everything unholy will be burned out of us and off of us that we may emerge reflecting the brilliance of His holiness…or we will be consumed by it and lose our place and promise.

We have this great promise and encouragement as we press into the pressing and the forge:
2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (NLT)
But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedomSo all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image.

May this be our prayer: “Oh, Holy Lord! Put us in the forge that we may emerge a holy being sanctified and glorified in You! Burn out and off of us anything that would make us an unworthy vessel for Your Presence to dwell in and flow through…at any cost!!! May we not offer up to You strange fire! May we decrease that You may be fully and wholly increased in us and through us all of our days!!!”
