Venezuela: Time to Shake Loose

Opposition supporters clash with riot security forces while rallying against President Nicolas Maduro in Caracas

Venezuelan crisis

Yesterday morning, the Lord laid the nation of Venezuela on my heart, reminding me of a Word He spoke to me while in prayer a week ago over the nation. Venezuela has been in a major economic and political crisis for eight years due to the poor decisions of then president, Hugo Chávez, and now president, Nicolás Maduro. It is one of the most violent nations in the world, and we are seeing a mass exodus of Venezuelans fleeing the corruption, violence, poverty, and seeking refuge and asylum. There is truly a great need for a move of God in Venezuela. Desperation has sank in and the nation is in great need for an answer to the crisis at hand.

Prophetic Word for Venezuela- AUGUST 22, 2018

Change. Change is necessary to see a shaking in hierarchy. There is a place where many would seek to disrupt the already fragile economic systems for their own selfish gain. It is through these that the enemy would like to use to completely cripple the nation unto permanence. There are hidden cells of corruption that the enemy is moving and operating through to bring destruction from the inside out. Yes, many do not even know about them. The enemy would seek to have these cells remain in the dark, unseen by the eyes of big brother.

Surely, I tell you, there will be a shaking take place in the heart repetitively until the powers of darkness’ hold is shaken loose and its restrictive grip around your neck is loosed. No longer will your life be choked out and no longer will you suffocate under the hold and shadow of corruption. Hold on for a time longer and watch as I shake you right-side up.

While in prayer last week, honestly knowing nothing about what is and has been taking place in Venezuela, the Lord released this Word concerning the matters at hand. Little did I know at the release of the Word that the day prior, as well as the same day of the 22nd, there were category 7 and higher earthquakes taking place along the northern coast of the nation, which the capital of Caracas resides along.

We must begin to pray for the nation of Venezuela with great fervency. From this Word, I believe that there will be repeated shakings take place within the land as a manifestation of the shakings taking place in the spiritual realm, as the Lord sifts Venezuela. With so much corruption bearing down upon the people, only death is looming overhead as the strong grip of the enemy seeks to choke out the life of this rich nation. An intervention is needed to redirect the tide of the nation from one of poverty and malnourishment unto fulfillment.

As I write this, I feel the Lord highlighting one key component to all of this. I hear Him saying,

Venezuela was created to be rich in oil. It is the most oil-enriched nation on earth. Nations come to her light to receive the oil of fulfilling. But instead of relying on Me to replenish her sediment, she has sold herself to outlying hands. She has relied on the sustenance and sustainability of others. Those in charge of leading her into greater potential and into freedom has instead led her into starvation. They have torn her down and devalued her to the point of prostitution. Corruption set in and began to eat away at her wealth and health. Death’s hold is strong, but I declare that MY hold is unbreakable!

Watch as I shake loose and break the hold of corrosion upon your very being. You will begin to see life resurface and supernatural, creative miracles take place to restore and regenerate your land into a whole being. No longer will you rely solely on foreign lands to sustain you, but you will see My sustaining hand upon you as you find miraculous growth take place. Corruption uprooted, life established, and you will find that the oil of gladness will so fill the atmosphere that you can smell its fragrance. You will indeed be the most oil-enriched storehouse known to all nations, Venezuela. I will restore your worth and establish you as the vial of the oil of purity.

Isaiah 1:21-28 (AMP)
“How the faithful city has become a prostitute [idolatrous, despicable], she who was full of justice! Right standing with God once lodged in her, but now murderers. Your silver has turned to lead, your wine is diluted with water. Your rulers are rebels and companions of thieves; everyone loves bribes and chases after gifts. They do not defend the fatherless, nor does the widow’s cause come before them [instead they delay or turn a deaf ear]. Therefore the Lord God of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel, declares: ‘Ah, I will be freed of My adversaries and avenge Myself on My enemies. And I will turn My hand against you, and will [thoroughly] purge away your dross as with lye and remove all your tin (impurity). Then I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning; afterward you will be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city.’ Zion will be redeemed with justice and her repentant ones with righteousness. But rebels and sinners will be crushed and destroyed together, and those who abandon (turn away from) the Lord will be consumed (perish).”

The Promise That Bears New Life

The Lord has brought Jeremiah and I on a long journey this past year and a half since we got married. A journey that has forever marked us and set us on a path of no return, a wild and crazy adventure to be discovered. This odyssey brought along with it extreme stretching and growth, an increase in reliance on God, joy, tears, adventure, fun, excitement, hardships, and more than can be expressed in words on paper (or in a blog.) Because of our diligence and obedience, our loving and faithful Father has rewarded us on so many levels and has entrusted us to new and bigger things; the greatest of which is new life. Yes, that’s right, He has made us parents of the most wonderful blessing.

Our little blessing 🙂

Our little gift growing in my womb is the fulfillment of a promise God spoke to me while we were on our 9 month-long faith journey around the world. You see, before Jeremiah and I were married, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, or PCOS. This means that small cysts form on the ovaries leading to hormonal imbalance. Often insulin resistance leading to diabetes is a result of that. PCOS is incurable and over time can affect a woman’s fertility greatly along with many other life altering consequences including developing uterine cancer, heart disease, atherosclerosis, stroke, etc. Being a woman who is called by God to be a mother, I could have let this greatly discourage me and affect the way I dealt with things, especially since this was the second chronic diagnosis I had received in my life. Instead of settling for what had been spoken over me, I refused and believed the Lord for my healing. Psalm 91:1-3 states, “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him. For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.”

I felt that I was supposed to continue taking the medicine the doctor gave me when we left the U.S. I clearly heard the Lord speak to me while we were traveling that I was healed so I would petition Him to stop taking the meds, however each time He told me to continue taking them. At one point, He even told me that He gave me 7 months of the meds purposely and to finish them out, revealing to me that 7 is the number of completion and perfection. From then on, I waited on Him and held that word. We were in India the end of March when I took my last pill and had felt God leading me to pray and fast for myself, believing for my healing. That this would be when I would see my body work properly. During this special time with Him, He revealed to me the gender of our child and the name very clearly, confirming it many times.

Revelation.

Revelation.

I claimed that promise and kept it close to my heart, awaiting the day that it would come to fruition, for one of my deepest desires was to be a mother. I thought it would come quicker than it did, and I would become somewhat discouraged when it didn’t. I am so thankful for my Husband, for he encouraged me every time that God was revealing to me that I really was healed as I saw my body worked perfectly. God only made me wait 3 months to bring His promise about, and interestingly enough, a total of 10 months…perfection of divine order.

I found out I was pregnant when I got back from England in July and we have been more than blessed to see fruit coming forth from God’s promise. And boy, was it a joyful day having my 19 week sonogram revealing that just as He said about 8 months ago, we would be having a sweet baby boy, baby Azariah!!! 🙂 We are overflowing with joy for all that Daddy has in store for our little miracle, for He has already used our child to minister to many people from the womb. This adventure He has us on has only gotten more exciting and adventurous!  For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”  Isaiah 43:19

Shelter from the Fire

This week has been a special and yet interesting week for the Gibson family! Last Friday, we had the joy of Jeremiah’s younger brother, Aaron, returning home from Army training. Jeremiah and I have not seen him since before we left on our around the world faith journey over a year ago. So it is great getting to catch up with him and hang out during his 1 week stay here in Texas before he heads to his new station in Washington D.C. We have been able to have times of encouragement with him on Saturday at our small group as well as Sunday morning at breakfast with some friends.

Sunday afternoon we had a Gibson family get-together at Jeremiah’s older brother, Garrett’s house. It has been a long time since all of the Gibson kids were in the same room together, seeing as the majority of us are running all over the world following the global call of God on our lives. This time, we were missing Tiffany and Bryson who are in England, but were able to Skype Tiffany for some time and talk to her so that was a blessing. There is no telling when the whole family will be back together again. Aaron will be able to come back home over Christmas for a few days, however, Tiffany and Bryson will probably be spending the holidays in England.

Garrett, Aaron, and Jeremiah

On Monday, I babysat our nephew, Noah, for his mother, Damaris, who was taking the newest addition to the family, little Joseph, to the doctor. I received a call from Damaris in the morning before her appointment saying that it would be delayed because they had a fire at their house. It appears that a nursing pillow in their room had fallen onto a nightlight and went unnoticed until she heard Joseph, who was sleeping on their bed, coughing on the baby monitor; after which she smelled smoke. She ran into the room and grabbed Joseph and left the house, calling the Fire Department. The fire was very controlled and remained in one corner of their room where the firefighters were able to put it out. They lost a few of Joseph’s things but God definitely was watching out for them and divinely protected them, keeping them safe.

The Nursing Pillow

God knew what would happen so He had Noah come stay with us for the day and if Joseph had not coughed, Damaris might not have known for longer. God even orchestrated the weather to be cold and very windy outside so that they could leave the windows open for it to air out their house. Nothing goes unnoticed with the Lord. He sees all things, knows what will happen and also acts on our behalf. Isaiah 64:4 says, “For from of old no one has heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who works and shows Himself active on behalf of him who [earnestly] waits for Him.”

Firefighters and Baby Joseph

God is forever faithful and protects His children, sheltering them under the shadow of His wings. May this be an encouragement to you that if God is for you, who shall be against you? (Romans 8:31)
