Strength in Struggle

Daily Encouragement –

Are you strong in power and ability? Where does your strength come from? What have you done to become mighty?

Never forget, you are not self-made! You cannot save yourself! You cannot rescue or cause yourself to be helped! No matter your physical or mental capabilities, you need help! You need Me!

Come to Me! Do not forget that I am the God who saved you and made a way. Through Jesus, you can be saved from sin and death, set free from bondage and destruction, and healed of sickness and backsliding.

I am your Safety and Strength in times of peace and struggle! I am the One who made you! How much more do I know your purpose and destiny and can empower you to walk fully the way you were designed? You need me so desperately whether you realize it or not!!!

Come to Me and receive freely all My overflowing blessings (safety, strength, and so much more) that you may walk in My way with Me! I love you My child!!!

Isaiah 17:7 “In that day a man will look to his Maker, And his eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Israel.”
10 “Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation, And have not been mindful of the Rock of your stronghold…”

Self-sufficient?

Daily Encouragement –

What do you need? Are you good? Are you self-sufficient? Where do you place your trust?

It is not wrong to know you are needy. It is prideful to think you could ever be self-sufficient. This lifestyle leads to death and destruction in so many different ways. You need Me!

Do you trust in your good works, the work of your own hands? I am the One who works in you the Good. Do you trust in your own reason, resources, and riches? Everything good comes from Me! You must never trust in the things I have given, this is idolatry. Trust in Me!!!

You can never be self-sufficient. You need Me. You could never take away the stain of sin! You cannot work your way into salvation, healing, or freedom… But why would you want to even try? I have already done the work and paid the price.

Come to Me and receive all that I have! My storehouse is full of resources waiting for you to ask and trust. You need Me. Come and find your sufficiency in Me. I love you My child and will supply everything you need and more, if you will only come to Me and trust!!!

Jeremiah 48:7 “For because you have trusted in your works and your treasures,You also shall be taken…”

Philippians 4:19 “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Self-Help???

Daily Encouragement –

What are you saying? What are you doing? Are you speaking out My words or your own? Are you walking in My way or doing your own thing? Whose power are you walking in?

The rise of self-help books is amusing to Me. In all your human strength, intellect, and self-control; you cannot change your selfish, sinful flesh. You will always think you know better and can do better if you try harder. Do not be foolish!

Change only comes as you line yourself up with Me and My Word!  Come to Me! I have done the hard work of living a completely selfless, sinless life. Follow Me in My Way and receive all the blessings and life I gained by doing this! Why would you restlessly struggle to survive doing your own thing?

Come to Me and enjoy the fruit of The Kingdom I have waiting for you!!! I love you My child!!!

Jeremiah 44:16-17 “As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we will not listen to you! 17 But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth…”

Glory and Profit

Daily Encouragement –

Do you want what profits? Do you want to walk in glory? I have the only true glory!!! What I have is the only glorious Kingdom that will profit for all eternity.

Make sure you are not exchanging eternal profit for temporary pleasure. The things of this world are deceptively attractive and entice you into exchanging My glory for momentary comfortability. Nothing of worth is gained by being comfortable!!!

To truly profit, you must walk with Me! I never chose the easy, comfortable way. In fact, I chose the cross because it would profit for all eternity. Self-denial for the Glory of God leads to true advancement in His Kingdom!

Come close to Me! Follow Me! We will walk into Glory and advance The Kingdom for all eternity together!!! I love you My child!!!

Jeremiah 2:11 “My people have changed their Glory For what does not profit.”

God of Overflowing Abundance

Daily Encouragement –

Why are you thirsty? Why are you in need? Why are you lacking? I am The God of Abundance who fills to overflowing. I have more than enough of all you need.

Come to Me!!! Receive from Me!!! Do not try to just make it by on your own abilities and resources. I have all you need in abundance If you will draw near to Me!!!

Come and know Me!!! I have provided! I have prepared the way! I have done the hard work! Come to Me! Follow Me! And I will lead you into it.

Your desire must become doing My will and not your own selfish thing. My way benefits everyone for all time, and your ways temporarily please only you.

Come and receive in abundance the greatest blessings you could ever receive!!! I love you My child!!!

John 4:34-38 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. 35 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and thencomes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! 36 And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37 For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”

Seek & Find

Daily Encouragement –

What are you seeking? Whom are you really seeking? Are you looking for a sign? A wonder? Or just to please yourself? Too many times, you are seeking the wrong thing or the wrong person. If you search hard enough, you will always find what you are looking for, but what are you really looking for?

Do not search for the living among the dead!!! You may fool yourself or be deceived into looking to things of this world for life. I assure you; there is only death in them. Whom are you seeking?

If you are looking for the author of life, do not look the way of the world. Destroy any self-seeking in yourself, and look to Me for all the life you will ever need. Life eternal. I have so much waiting for you to search out.

Seek Me! Draw near to Me! Press in to Me, and receive My life eternal right now!!! I love you My child!!!

Luke 24:5 “Why do you seek the living among the dead?”

This week, we are learning about Intimacy/Love of God.

Here are my notes: Simple Discipleship Week 2

Here is the recording of the teaching, Feb 10, 2016: Intimacy/Love of God

This week’s teaching is what I would consider as the most important one to come to understand in the whole series.  The love of God and the relationship that we have with Him will affect every other aspect of our lives.

What is Intimacy? to know deeply, completely and have a greater love for then when you did not know as much.

What is Love? A deep, selfless, pure closeness and knowing of a person no matter what their words, actions, or behavior.  This closeness is promised with words, but proven by action.

Our revelation of the Love that God has for us will color every other thing that we come into contact with.  How can we love others if we do not love God?  How can we even love God if we do not understand the enormity of His love for us?

vine

In John 15 Jesus speaks of an illustration of how close we should be in relationship with Him.  He is the vine and we are the branches.  We must be in such a relationship that we are a part of Him, and we are getting everything we need for us to live from Him .  Without this relationship with Him, we can do nothing.  I know that all of us want to be doing great things for the Lord.  However, if we are not constantly and consistently connected with Him, we are doing absolutely nothing no matter how great we may look.

If you don’t remember anything else remember this, everything we do flows from our relationship with Jesus!!!  You want to do great things? You must have a great relationship with Jesus.

fire-heart-love

1 Corinthians 13 gives us a picture of the perfect God kind of love.  Paul is very clear at the beginning that no matter what you may be doing, saying, or giving to the Lord if it is not done in love, it is worthless.

Paul is very intentional about describing the God kind of love because it is so different than our view of love.  This love is God’s love for us and the kind of love we should be seeking to have for him and for each other.  We have a long way to go until we are able to obtain a love that begins to look like this perfect God kind of love.

fire heart

Ephesians 3 speaks even more to how important this love is for us to have and know.  We are strengthened in our inner selves by this love.  In fact, this power, the Love of God and our revelation of this love, is the power with which God works out exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask for, hope for, or imagine.  Our faith opens the door for this love to come in and each new revelation of this love that we have unlocks a greater power to work in and through us in every area of our lives.

heart

It is evident in Deuteronomy 7:6-9 that God has chosen you as a special treasure and set you apart for holiness.  There was nothing that you have done or ever could do to deserve this, but God did it because He loves you.  God is full of mercy or he never would have chosen any of us sinful creatures.  He is faithful because He continues to pour out His mercy when over and over again we prove that we do not deserve it.

I challenge you to sit down in a quiet place by yourself with a pen and some paper.  Ask Holy Spirit to come and speak to you.  Ask Him a simple question “How much do You love me?”  Then, simple write or draw whatever He speaks to you.  The voice of God is always loving, encouraging, and full of life.  This is what He will speak to you.

After you have completed the above exercise, I would encourage you to pray and ask Holy Spirit:

Do I have a deepening relationship with you? Does my life sustaining force flow from my relationship with You?

Am i being obedient to You out of love or am I trying to prove I am worthy of Your love?

Am I glorifying You through my love for You?

Finally, pray this with me:  “Father, bring a new revelation of the love that you have for me.  Show me how much you truly love me and help me to do better at showing that love to the people around me.”

May the Lord bless you with new revelations of His love ever-increasing and ever-strengthening you with power for great and mighty works.
