From Fire to Fertility

Only I can silence and calm the raging flames of uncontrollability. The drought of My Presence will soon be no more. For too long the enemy has opposed My Truth by invading the hearts of many. He has sent death and destruction to the land in hopes of bringing unbelief and rage into the hearts of man in a fresh wave. But soon I will silence the lying deceiver and remove the blanket of liberal lies and replace it with a blanket- yes, a covering- of a truth as refreshing as a dew of the morn. It with My Spirit will drench the altars of deception and false gods to silence the lying tongue in the ears of those in influential places and put them in their place.

As a sign of this, there will be a great shifting in the heavens as a great shifting takes place in the natural. The demonic influences will be exposed for what they truly are and My Son will crush them under the feet of My righteous remnants. A supernatural wave will rise up to sweep away the darkness and bring on a wave of My Spirit in a spirit of freedom.

Where there seemed to be an absence of My Spirit, I will march in like a Mighty Warrior and take back the influential vision.

Yes, the enemy of destruction has been defeated. For the fire was meant for destruction and decimation but I reign over My creation. Even in the midst of destruction, I am moving to make Ready Ground. Fire burns up all of the impurities and thorns that have long choked out the life. When removed, its charred remnants actually serve as an aid to increase fertility in the soil. New life is able to spring forth greater than before; ushering in foreign inhabitants, giving them food and abundant lodging.

Ready Ground attracts the unusual rain of outpouring and revival.”

ISAIAH‬ ‭55:10-13‬ ‭AMP‬‬

““For as the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth, making it bear and sprout, and providing seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so will My word be which goes out of My mouth; it will not return to Me void (useless, without result), without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. “For you will go out [from exile] with joy and be led forth [by the LORD Himself] with peace; the mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. “Instead of the thorn bush the cypress tree will grow, and instead of the nettle the myrtle tree will grow; and it will be a memorial to the LORD, for an everlasting sign [of His mercy] which will not be cut off.””

Grace & Glory

Daily Encouragement –

I love you My child, and am pouring out a special measure of My Grace and glory upon you.

My grace is for you right now, and you need it just to last through the day.

My glory is the spiritual power that comes as you spend time with Me. My glory and Spirit will lead you and guide you throughout the day.

My glory will water every seed even as Holy Spirit gives you the seeds of Truth to plant.

Holy Spirit is with you to reveal all things and bring the strength, life, encouragement, and favor of My blessings to you today.

Learn to walk with Him and let my power flow out of you as you step out to share the good news and be obedient to the plans and purposes I have for you.

I have a special plan and purpose to accomplish through you as you partner with Holy Spirit. Agree and partner with Me and I will do the hard work, the great work, My work through you.

Isaiah 58:8-12 Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’“If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,
If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday.
The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.

Hurricane a Coming

Belize Day 5 – 13882148_10153636554657751_5191342013350119593_n-copy
Today, our plans changed with the incoming hurricane.  We still went and delivered school supplies and clothing to the Valley of Peace. We purposefully prayed for each family for healing and life.

I took the team to the first family, where we were greeted by the boy pictured above, and we were able to pray for them and bless them.  It was good to be in this place of ministry once again, but I was sad that we did not get to do more personal ministry.  Even as we finished up giving away the last bags, the rain began to come.  From that point for the rest of the day it has rained with more or less intensity.

Right now, I am sitting in an open air building with a roof surrounded by rain and gushing winds as we wait for the storm to come.  There will not be much sleeping tonight.  We have a safe cement building to head to when things get really bad, but this is a new experience for me.  Never have I been in such a storm, and yet, I still have peace.  In the end, we can do nothing but pray and wait and wait and pray.  No amount of complaining, wishing, or even hard work will cause the storm to pass.  We must wait, trust, and pray for peace and protection.

At this moment, I realize that this is not any different than any other moment in life.  We can do a lot of things, but in the end, we must wait and pray for God to do the work.  We cannot cause anyone to grow and bear fruit, but we can plant the seed, water, and fertilize.  God brings the fruit, and causes us to be safe during the storm.  Storms come and they may howl and blow and seem strong and mighty, but God controls the storm.  He protects us in the storm and brings about good in the midst of roaring rushing wind all around.
Devotion –

Storms will come.  They sometimes surround us and cause us to cower under their intensity and might.  Storms are still a mystery because they are something we cannot control.  However, God is our peace in the midst of the storm.  He protects us and guides us into the best way.  God uses the manner in which we handle storms as a witness to who He is.  We must trust that He is mightier than the storm and obey even when it may not make sense.  His love is more powerful than the raw potential of the strongest storm.  He is our peace!  He is our comfort!  He is the one who brings the best out of the worst.

Challenge –
I challenge you to look at your circumstances in a different way today.  The boss that is unhappy with you, the co-worker that says things that hurt you, the family member that purposefully does things to get on your nerves, look to God and pray for Him to help you respond as He would.  Respond in love, peace, and trust in the worst possible circumstances that God may get the full glory!!!

The Gift of Giving

Giving.

Giving.

It has been more than three weeks since we have posted and much longer since I personally have posted.  Many people have probably ceased reading these posts since we are no longer traveling from country to country doing the Lord’s work as He opens the doors.  Before I begin talking about giving, I want to first reflect on who really needs Jesus?  Does the poor Cambodian girl living in the trash dump need Jesus more than the middle class American business man that spends more time working than with his family so he can get provide for them the necessities and all the extras (cars, boats, bigger houses, better clothes…)?

This time of the year, it seems that we are consumed with the extras, the things we do not really need.  Black Friday is a tribute to this focus with too many people fighting over saving some money on the things that are not really needed.  People die so that somebody’s son, daughter, brother, sister can get the extra they wanted but did not really need.  Now, a few days after Christmas, no one is really happier and the extras are on the floor.  Many people are ready to get away from their families because they are annoyed and have frustrations with them.  Soon, they will return home and 90% of these extras will sit on a shelf, in a drawer, or in storage gathering dust.  Who really needs Jesus more?  We Americans who have it all and the extras or the those who have nothing but will give you whatever they have willingly?

Black Friday madness.

Black Friday madness.

As I was reading this week, it is interesting that God had me reading in 2 Corinthians chapters 8-9 the day after Christmas.  These two chapters are talking all about giving, and I encourage you to read and meditate on them.  Here, Paul speaks about a church that promised to give beyond their ability out of a generous heart.  He describes this gift as the fellowship of ministering to the saints.  He then goes on to say that even as they abound in important things (faith, knowledge, love), they should increase in the grace of giving just the same.  Is the act of increasing in knowledge, faith, and love more important than increasing in giving???

In Vs. 15 of chapter 8, Paul uses a verse that was originally used about manna in Exodus to talk about giving.  “He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.”  As I was reading this, I got revelation of a couple things.  First, God gives us the things we need to go throughout our day.  Both in the physical and in the spiritual.  Not that revelatory, but worth mentioning.  Second, some of the things He gives me are actually to help someone else make it through their day.  If I have an abundance, and someone else has need, what I have is for them.  What does it profit me to hoard that thing and save it for a rainy day or something I might need in the future if my brother is in need?  The manna in Exodus rotted, and I do not want what God has given to rot, so I should be intentional about giving away what I do not need both in the physical and in the spiritual.

Finally, in Vs. 7-10 of chapter 9, it seems to me that Paul is saying that if we give with a joyful spirit, then God is able to make His grace increase toward us.  We must have our giving with a right heart in order before we overflow with grace and abundance for every good work.  Also, he talks about God giving us seed and bread, and how He multiplies the seed that has been sown to increase the fruits of righteousness.  It does not say He multiplies the bread, but the seed.  He does not multiply all the seed, but the seed that is sown and that is how the fruit of righteousness is increased in our lives.  I would much rather have abundant fruit than just a little bit of seed and bread.

Poverty in Cambodia.

Poverty in Cambodia.

I want to return to the question I asked, who needs Jesus more?  The answer is that both the poorest of the poor living in the trash dump and the middle class American that has the extras need Jesus.  I could even argue that we as Americans have a greater need for Him because we can look to ourselves to work for and provide what we need.  Some people, no matter how hard they work, will never have what they need.  These people have to trust in something or Someone outside of themselves to get them through.  I encourage you to meditate on chapters 8-9 in 2 Corinthians and discover the gift of giving that God has given us.  It is not only for them, but it is for us.  What is the proof of our faith and love?  What is pure religion (James 1:27)?  What do we have that others need?  What has God given you for others that you have decided to hoard up for yourself?  What is rotting in your storehouse that is meant for others?  Joyously, give out what God has given you to give so that abundant fruit of righteousness may come to you and all the blessings that go along with it!!!
