Son of Righteousness: Fear Him Alone

This morning while in prayer, I received a powerful revelation from the Lord.

I had seen prior that there was the first “confirmed” coronavirus case in our county and city. Now, I personally have grown extremely put off to social media and even the news because there is literally nothing spoken of other than this demonically-inspired attack. I have not ceased in praying its inevitable end nor have I held back in commanding its demise.

However, there has been a transaction take place from the fear of the Lord (even in the global Body of Christ) over to the fear of the enemy and death. This transaction isn’t in reality that different than the transaction that took place in Eden. God gave man dominion over the earth and man handed that dominion over to the enemy of our souls. Man exchanged the truth of sonship over for the lie of mistaken identity and deception.

We see this taking place today as churches, prayer gatherings, and the community of the ones who KNOW the Victor have begun to shut their doors and cease to gather in the authority that Christ bought for us and restored to us by His precious blood. Paul explains this rectification to us in Colossians 1:

Colossians 1:15-20 (TPT)

“He is the divine portrait, the true likeness of the invisible God, and the firstborn heir of all creation. For in Him was created the universe of things, both in the heavenly realm and on the earth, all that is seen and all that is unseen. Every seat of power, realm of government, principality, and authority—it all exists through Him and for His purpose! He existed before anything was made, and now everything finds completion in Him. He is the Head of His body, which is the church. And since He is the beginning and the firstborn heir in resurrection, He is the most exalted One, holding first place in everything. For God is satisfied to have all His fullness dwelling in Christ. And by the blood of His cross, everything in heaven and earth is brought back to Himself— back to its original intent, restored to innocence again!”

Christ’s blood was enough. His blood restored all of creation to its original design and He handed the keys over to US once again. The distinguishing factor between the revelatory Bride and the misled Bride is the revelation that we have the very Spirit of Christ living on the inside of us…therefore, we truly do have the authority He promised us in Matthew 10:1and we have the keys of the Kingdom He promised us in Matthew 16:19.

As I pointedly prayed protection over my region of assignment, the Lord spoke this simple phrase…

“Sickness cannot remain in Righteousness.”

This word struck me and brought deep revelation. Pondering on it, He quickened me again to Malachi 4:2-3:

“But for you who fear My name [with awe-filled reverence] the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go forward and leap [joyfully] like calves [released] from the stall. You will trample the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” says the LORD of hosts.

It dawned on me why the fear-mongering has led to worldwide panic and hysteria. The enemy knows that if he can draw away man’s reverential focus and fear of the Lord to fear the “shadow of death” reaching its hand across the nations, then we will not receive the joy and healing promised us as the Son of Righteousness dawns on us. We cannot trample upon that which we fear…we will be crushed and choked out by it. When we truly fear the Lord, we recognize that He is over it all and we are able through His divine enablement, to destroy the works of the devil.

There is a divine invitation from the Lord in this hour to repent for fearing what is inferior to our High Priest and our Victor; and to once again walk in sonship. When we know WHO we are and WHOSE we are, we will walk in all He promised us and see the world transformed by His dunamis power! It’s time to ekballo every demonic attack and decree and declare that the enemy will NOT take up residence here…not on our watch!!!

Two years ago, I had an encounter with an angel of Righteousness. He wasn’t a puny being. He was about 8 stories tall and held in his hand a golden sword with which he struck the ground. His boots were clothed in gold and he stood firmly in place, unwavering. Across his chest was a bronze breastplate and he was shrouded in a white tallit. I knew he was dispatched to take his stand and establish Kingdom authority and possession of the land I was praying over. Fire burned in his eyes and he was ablaze with the fires of righteousness. Every part of him radiated purity and consecration. He set up residence upon a high place, a portal of righteousness, and I saw a zoomed out view of the entire region. I then saw an angel bigger than a city descend from Heaven and take his place as a guard and keeper of the city. He stretched forth his arms and surrounded the city as a shield.

I sought the Lord about what I saw and that is when He first spoke Malachi 4:2 and its correlation with the angel. The Hebrew word for “wings” is “kanaph” and is translated: “corner, covering, edge, ends, fold, garment, kind, skirt”. A tallit is a symbol of God’s holiness. This is why the angel wore a tallit…the fringes of the garment are also called the “wings”. It is this very reason it was so significant to Jesus that the woman with the issue of blood reached for the hem of His garment and received her healing. This is why He felt great power leave Him and He recognized her out of the masses touching Him.

Sickness, infirmity, and death are incapable of abiding in righteousness because it is burned up in His fires of holiness and purity.

Zechariah 2:5 says, “For I,’ declares the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire around her [protecting her from enemies], and I will be the glory in her midst.’ ”

This is another sifting unto shifting and another wake up call for the Global Body of Christ. The separation of the wheat from the chaff. The realization of the authority of the believer.

Who will wake up, rise up, take up their keys, and shut the door to the enemy over their families, regions, and nations; and fling wide the gate to the realm of Heaven’s Kingdom?!?! Who will dispatch angels on assignment to carry forth the word of the Lord by our declarations?!

Ask Him (Your Inheritance) 32/40

You are invited to join us for the Celebrate to Accelerate fast! Please review Celebrate to Accelerate and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement.

It’s week 5, and we are still alive. We are down to single digits until the end of the fast. Some may not have thought it possible to go this long, but God has been faithfully going before us, walking beside us, and He will bring up the rear with His glory.  Let’s continue steadfastly seeking The God of Heaven for all He wants to do in us and through us! This is what you were made for, an eternity of seeking Him!

As we have been praying, fasting, and seeking the Lord for His Kingdom to be accelerated in and through us, there has been a shift.  Yesterday, I shared about being God’s Witness and how this comes from the secret, quiet intimacy of knowing God and receiving His heart.  When this takes place, His desire to be made great in our lives turns into the worship of us being witnesses of the testimony He has done in us. Knowing God and growing in your relationship with Him is the first step of being a witness.

Today, I want to discuss the second step of being a witness, you must Ask!  God desires to use everyone everywhere to be his witnesses.  However, when we come to truly know God and His desires begin to grow inside of us, we will begin to ask and pray to be a witness.

Do you pray daily for specific lost people around you in your family, at your school or workplace, in your neighborhood?

Although this is something that we should do, because of the cares of this world, often we do not.  The cares of the world often choke out the life of the seeds of prayer that are never sown into the hearts of those who have no knowledge of The King or The Kingdom.

Somehow, in seeking The Lord, David comes into a place where he hears a heavenly conversation taking place.  This conversation takes place in Psalms 2. God The Father is speaking toThe Son and this is what He says:

Psalm 2:7-8 “I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.

The Father says to The Son, because You are My Son, I will give you an inheritance.  What is this inheritance? The nations and the ends of the earth.  These are God’s to give and He says ask me, and I will give them to you.  If God is our Father in heaven and holy is His Name, His kingdom must come and a His will must be done on earth as it is done in heaven.  You and I are his children, begotten in the gospel.

How much more should we ask Him for the nations and ends of the earth for our possession?

Have you asked Him for souls, cities, or nations?

Knowing this, let’s jump forward to when Jesus came to the earth. He was surrounded and submersed in all the things we are today. Poverty, sickness, darkness, sin, and death surrounded his every day life. One day these things overwhelm Jesus’s heart of compassion that He has gained by spending time seeking The Father. He sees the hopeless, scattered sheep, but He also sees a great harvest for the Kingdom. There was more work than any one man could ever do just bringing them into the Kingdom.

What was Jesus’ solution?

Matthew 9:36-38 But when He [Jesus] saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Jesus said pray and ask The Lord of the harvest to call, equip, and send forth laborers.  We are not only supposed to spend our days in prayer and seeking God, but we are also to pray that we may become witnesses, laborers, and vessels of righteousness used by God.  When we know God’s heart, we will ask that His desires be made manifest in the earth.

My encouragement for today is to begin to ask for souls, pray for an inheritance of nations.  Together we have been seeking to know The Father and growing in Him. Now, let’s begin to pray and ask to be His witnesses, and that He would give us souls, cities, regions, and nations. This is the inheritance of the saints, the saving and discipling of all nations, tribes, and tongues. Over 3 billion people still have not heard the good news, it is time to pray for the Lord of The Harvest to send forth laborers into the field and be willing to go ourselves!

Jesus, I love you! I desire to grow in knowing You and developing Your heart and Your desires. I ask for the nations as my inheritance and the ends of the earth for my possessions. Use me to reach the unreached. May those in darkness see Your light shining brightly out of me and been drawn to You. I am willing to go. Send out Your workers to bring in the harvest that I may not be alone in bringing in this great harvest of souls!!!

Practical –

  • Ask Holy Spirit to draw you deeper in to knowing Him and give you a heart of compassion
  • Ask for the nations as your inheritance
  • Ask for souls of specific people in your family, workplace, school, and sphere.
  • Pray The Lord of The Harvest to send forth laborers into the field

Be blessed today with knowing God in a greater way than ever before and gaining a true heart of compassion! May you receive an amazing inheritance of souls coming into The Kingdom as the The Kingdom of God is accelerated in and through you!

You are invited to join us for the Celebrate to Accelerate fast! Please review Celebrate to Accelerate and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement.

May the strength of The Lord be upon you today! I know I need it. It seems that in the midst of my fasting, every little thing becomes a major deal. Sleeping less is usually not a big deal, but in the middle of fasting, it becomes even harder to continue the commitments we have made to The Lord with a right heart.  Do not let the weakness of the flesh or the enticements of the enemy draw you to the lesser thing, but it is time to go up and go higher to the place where we can touch and be touched by heaven. Supernatural strength be upon us all today!

We have discussed some major life changing fruit that prayer and fasting can produce in our lives.  This power-packed duo has the ability to do so many things that are super big and majorly important, saving a city, healing a land, shifting the heavens…  However, let us not overlook the ways that fasting and prayer aids us in everyday life.

As we look at a passage from the book of Ezra, let me set up the background for you.  Israel, God’s chosen people, had rebelled and walked away from God. Because of this, judgment came upon them through the Babylonians, and they are taken into captivity.  During captivity, we find Daniel faithfully serving the Lord through fasting and prayer out of a heart of repentance and humility.  Grace and mercy come at the set time, partnering with the prayers of Daniel and others, and God uses Cyrus to set the people free and allow them to return and build Jerusalem.

Ezra was of the priestly class and takes it upon himself to lead one of the groups of people back to their homeland.  Nehemiah the cup-bearer to the king also brings people back to the land during the same time period.  Ezra is preparing to lead this large group of Jews on a long journey to their home.  This is where we pick up the story:

Ezra 8:15 Now I gathered them by the river that flows to Ahava, and we camped there three days. And I looked among the people and the priests, and found none of the sons of Levi there.

As they were preparing to leave, Ezra found that none of the designated spiritual leaders of the people were with them. Ezra was the only one who had volunteered to go with the people.  How disheartening this must have been to be the only spiritual leader around that was being voluntarily obedient to press into the freedom and return to the promised land that God had given them. All the other “men of God” had decided to remain in bondage, captivity, and comfort rather than press through to breakthrough and walk in the freedom and blessing that God had given them.

After compelling some of his brethren, other priests, to come with him he must realize that the task of traveling with all these people and an abundance of silver and gold, to be used as an offering to God and to pay for the work of rebuilding their cities, will be more difficult than he thought. Therefore, this is what Ezra does:

Ezra 8:21-23 Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions. For I was ashamed to request of the king an escort of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy on the road, because we had spoken to the king, saying, “The hand of our God is upon all those for good who seek Him, but His power and His wrath are against all those who forsake Him.” So we fasted and entreated our God for this, and He answered our prayer.

Ezra is being faithful and obedient in his daily life to do what God has sent him to do. He is walking in wisdom to gather other leaders to care for the people going with him, others that will follow, and those that are already in the land.  It seems that Ezra is walking as a wise leader, full of faith, obedience, and wisdom; but he realizes that he needs God’s help.  Without His protection, they will be easy prey for their enemies.  So, Ezra humbles himself and asks for help from the Almighty God.  Obviously God is with him.  God set it up for all these things to take place. Clearly, Ezra is continually declaring the goodness of God and His hand of protection upon them even to the king.  However, Ezra calls the people to humility, fasting and prayer that he might lead them and protect them in a special way.

Today, you and I can be walking with God completely and totally full of faith and obedience.  We can trust the Lord and be walking fully in his calling, but this does not mean that we do not need Him to be continually with us to strengthen us and keep us from going astray.  Right now, more than ever, you need him right where you are. You need Jesus to invade your home, your neighborhood, your workplace, your school, your church, your city and nation. No matter how spiritually mature you may be or how good things may be going, pride is the only thing that will cause us to walk our daily lives without asking God for supernatural protection and direction.

What is the result of Ezra’s call to humility, prayer, and fasting for direction and protection?

Ezra 8:31 Then we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go to Jerusalem. And the hand of our God was upon us, and He delivered us from the hand of the enemy and from ambush along the road.

God faithfully directed him and the people the way they should go and protected them along the way.  There may not have been any amazing sign or wonder displayed, but this small group of poor, former slaves and their families, traveling with all their herds, possessions, and an abundance of gold and silver, were protected daily as they traveled more than 900 miles over four months.

My encouragement for you is to intentionally invite The Lord into your daily life today and every day. As we fast and ask God for the “big”, “spiritual” requests, do not forget your need for Him to strengthen, guide, and protect your daily, routine, coming and going.  Holy Spirit must be infused into every moment of our lives that the glory of God may be constantly and continually flowing into and out of us for all those who need Him to come and drink!

Jesus, I thank You that You are The One who does mighty signs, wonders, and miracles.  I also thank You that you are The Good Shepherd that walks with me in my everyday life. I need Your protection and direction in every moment of my life. I invite You to lead me and guide me every single day to walk in Your way. May I never forget to recognize and honor You in every part and every seeming small part of my life!

Practical –

  • Invite Holy Spirit to be with you right now
  • Acknowledge your need for Him to guide and protect you today
  • Ask Him to reveal Himself in a special way within your daily routine activities
  • Recognize and Glorify God in the “small” as well as the “big” blessings today

Be blessed with the ability to know and recognize with increasing perception the amazing blessings God is working on your behalf in your daily life! As this happens, may you glorify Him and be accelerated in The Kingdom !

Jeremiah, Man on Fire!!!

Mantling of the Eagles

Psalm 104:4‬ ‭(TPT‬‬)
‭‭You make Your messengers into winds of the Spirit and all Your ministers become flames of fire.

Recently while in prayer and reading the book of Jeremiah, the Lord began to speak and quicken my spirit to a fresh outpouring and deeper revelation of what He is releasing upon the earth; of what He is releasing upon prophets who have been hidden in caves of isolation and cultivation.

November 16, 2019

The day is coming and indeed it’s here now, when I will call out the prophets who have been hidden in caves of isolation and I will clothe them in mantles of evangelism seeped in Fire. This Fire will be a catalyzing thrust to ekballo them into the nations to take them for My Glory. The Fire will extinguish every demonic dart of distraction sent their way and they will be fully focused on this one thing — declaration of salvation.

They will continually be propelled forward; for the forward propulsion will continue to cultivate the blazing, raging Fire upon their beings.

They will not cease to advance My Kingdom, nor will they cease to take possession of nations and to bring them into My Kingdom forever.

The smoke trail that they leave behind will serve as a smoke signal and a map pointing the way for many to follow.

These forerunners will not back down nor turn their gaze away from My eyes of Fire and My flame of Love. They have been seared with My flame and all they see is the earth engulfed in My flame. This the lense  in which they will see through.

As He spoke this word, I began to see mantles of fire manifesting from Heaven and being bestowed upon the Burning Ones. They came catapulting towards earth and striking upon the shoulders of these Faithful Ones. These are they who in the secret place have been in deep communion with God and have already been steeped in intimacy; and now they are being seeped in these mantles of Fire.

God is calling forth an army of prophets in this new day who will be mantled with Fire for the reaping of a giant Harvest of souls over the next decade! He is calling them out to take nations, people groups, families, cities, and communities into The Kingdom.

They will not bow to the culture or the command of man, but will blaze a trail through the wilderness for the nations to follow; even if it costs them their very lives. They will receive and retrieve the word of God from the secret place and decree and declare it into existence in the earth. They will tear down age-old foundations of religion and perversion; and they will establish Heaven’s reality with their words.

The Lord brought me to these Scriptures revealing the markers of these true mantled Burning Ones:

1. They will be unwavering and unswerving with the Word of the Lord. The Word of the Lord spoken from their mouths will be both destructive to religion and everything unholy; and reconstructive in establishing Heavenly Kingdom order.

Jeremiah‬ ‭1:9-10 (NLT)
Then the Lord reached out and touched my mouth and said, “Look, I have put My words in your mouth! Today I appoint you to stand up against nations and kingdoms. Some you must uproot and tear down, destroy and overthrow. Others you must build up and plant.”

2. They will be fearless, undignified, and undaunted warriors.

Jeremiah 1:17-19 (NLT)
“Get up and prepare for action. Go out and tell them everything I tell you to say. Do not be afraid of them, or I will make you look foolish in front of them. For see, today I have made you strong like a fortified city that cannot be captured, like an iron pillar or a bronze wall. You will stand against the whole land— the kings, officials, priests, and people of Judah. They will fight you, but they will fail. For I am with you, and I will take care of you. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

3. You will know them by their fruit. Their words will pierce the target every time and accomplish My purpose of purification and reconfiguration.

Jeremiah‬ ‭23:28-29‬ ‭(NLT‬‬)
“Let these false prophets tell their dreams, but let My true messengers faithfully proclaim My every word. There is a difference between straw and grain! Does not My word burn like fire?” says the Lord. “Is it not like a mighty hammer that smashes a rock to pieces?”

4. They will be trailblazers, nationshakers, atmosphere changers, revelators, and pioneers paving the way for nations to come to My Light. Their very lives will ignite the stone-cold embers of sleeping giants and awaken them to salvation’s call. They will successfully accomplish My heart’s deep desire of returning to a world set ablaze like a raging inferno of praise and glory.

Luke 12:49 (TPT)
“I have come to set the earth on fire. And how I long for every heart to be already ablaze with this fiery passion for God!”

Luke‬ ‭12:49-51 ‭(MSG‬‬)
“I’ve come to start a fire on this earth—how I wish it were blazing right now! I’ve come to change everything, turn everything rightside up—how I long for it to be finished! Do you think I came to smooth things over and make everything nice? Not so. I’ve come to disrupt and confront!”

Kashmir: Your Scroll is Coming

It was October 11, 2019 and I had already been in Pakistan ministering for a few days. I sat on stage for the second night of a four-day Prayer and Peace Festival expectant of what God was going to do. We had seen miraculous healings, deliverances, and salvations in the days and night before; from blind eyes and deaf ears opened, mute speaking, paralyzed people restored and walking, numerous ailments and cancer healed, and so much more!

I found myself gazing with wonder upon the beautiful Pakistani people gathered from all over the nation, thousands of Muslims and Hindus alike; to hear the Gospel and experience the demonstration of the power of Jesus through signs, wonders, and miracles.

During a divine moment of dwelling in the Presence of God and listening to Charlie preach, I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath of His Spirit. As I did, I immediately went into a trance and no longer could hear anything Charlie was saying, but was completely caught up in what the Lord was showing me.

I saw very plainly through the darkness God’s right hand lifted up and there were three distinctly different colors marked on His hand as if they were painted on His hand. From the middle to the outside of His hand was green; from the middle of His hand to the inside and to the thumb was white; and bordering those colors from the middle of His hand through His fingers was red. I knew instantly by the Spirit that it was the conjoining borders of Pakistan, India, and China; for each color represented one of the distinguishing colors of their flags and they were placed in the same position as they touch on a map. It was as if He lifted His right hand to show me what He has stamped on His hand. He then slammed His hand down and the sound of His hand coming down reverberated throughout time and space with the sound of an explosion, as if He was stamping His seal upon something. I then came out of the trance and back to the reality of 300,000 Pakistani people set before me receiving the Gospel that gives life.

As I began to seek the Lord about what I was shown, I heard His voice saying:

“There is going to be a conjoining agreement released between these three nations. Behold, I am ordaining a new thing completely unheard of. It is a new thing that will cause the entire world to stand in awe.

Out of this place there will be a change agent that will completely change the atmosphere in all three nations. From this place, I will lift My hand of power and bring a unification of three nations.

Where violence and persecution once raged over this region upon the mountains; where competition and possession shrouded the land and loosed the spirit of oppression, will I release the breaker scroll. It will tear down age-old foundations and uproot every evil intention.

Where My people have only known submission, they will soon see a new day when they will live freely in the land I have given them. They will be the ones who possess the land of inheritance and though it make no sense how after all this time that they could be in this place; it will be because I have caused these three nations to find a middle ground and caused them to become united upon a higher purpose.

Where they fought to expel you, now they will unite to reinstate you. A cord of three strands is not easily broken and this divine alliance will bring about a greater purpose of force of fulfillment of My plans for this region.”

As the Lord spoke, I could see and discern the region of Kashmir and knew He was speaking of the decades-long conflict over the Himalayan mountain range. There has been a near 80 year-long conflict over the mountainous region of Kashmir with Pakistan, India, and even China all fighting over possession of the land. It has resulted in numerous wars and the Kashmiri people are suffering under the oppression, being displaced, and violence and death has left its mark.

Isaiah 49:16 (AMP) tells us, “Indeed, I have inscribed [a picture of] you on the palms of My hands; Your city walls [Zion] are continually before Me.” One version says He’s “painted”.

I prophesy to you, Kashmir:
Where you have been at a loss of your place like war-torn wanderers desperate for establishment; so will the Lord do a new thing through you and for you. The impossible made possible. He has not forgotten about you and who you are, for He has painted you upon His palm.

A day is coming when a trumpet will sound in the heavens calling forth the unfurling of the scroll of deliverance and establishment that has already been stamped with His seal and thrusted forth with the power of His right arm. This decree, says the Lord, is an unstoppable force and will link together unsuspecting forces for My name’s sake.

Like the unlikely unification of three kings for a greater purpose is Elisha’s day, so will you see an agreement be made among three nations vying for possession of your high places. They will find a greater and unusual reason for unifying not against you, but for you. It will make no sense in the eyes of the world or the wisdom of man. But I will cause that which looks foolish in the eyes of man to confound the wise; and as I do so, I will make you a sovereign land. You will once again inhabit your Promised Land freely and I will return to you your identity and restore your borders. You will never again be dispossessed; for you will find your lost ones returning to you and I will fulfill My promise to you, says the Lord.

Isaiah 49:17-18 (TPT)
“Your children, your builders, are running back to you as those who ruined and destroyed you are running away. Lift up your head and look all around you. See! All your children, your builders, gather to come back to you. As surely as I live, I make this promise,” says Yahweh. “You will wear them all like jewels, as a radiant bride wears her beautiful jewelry!”

Direction & Protection 24/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

This power-packed duo has the ability to do so many things that are super big and majorly important, saving a city, healing a land, shifting the heavens…  However, let us not overlook the day to day ways that fasting and prayer aids us in everyday life.

As we look at a passage from the book of Ezra, let me set up the background for you.  Israel, God’s chosen people, had rebelled and walked away from God. Because of this judgment came upon them through the Babylonians, and they are taken into captivity.  During captivity, we find Daniel faithfully serving the Lord through fasting and prayer out of a heart of repentance and humility.  The grace and mercy come at the set time partnering with the prayers of Daniel and others, and God uses Cyrus to set the people free and allow them to return and build Jerusalem.

Ezra alone was the only one who had volunteered to go with the people.  How disheartening this must have been to be the only spiritual leader around that was being voluntarily obedient to press into the freedom and return to the promised land that God had given them. All the other “men of God” had decided to remain in bondage and captivity rather than press through to breakthrough and walk in the freedom and blessing that God had given them.

After compelling some of his brethren, other priests to come with him, he must realize that the task of traveling with all these people and an abundance of silver and gold to be used as an offering to God and to pay for the work of rebuilding their cities will be more difficult than he thought.

It seems that Ezra is walking as a wise leader, full of faith and wisdom, but he realizes that without God’s help, they will be easy prey for their enemies to take advantage of.  So, he humbles himself and asks for help from the Almighty God.  Obviously God is with him.  God set it up for all these things to take place. Clearly, Ezra is declaring the goodness of God and His hand of protection upon them even to the king.  However, Ezra calls the people to humility, fasting and prayer that he might lead them and protect them in a special way.

For us, we can be walking with God completely and totally full of faith and obedience.  We can trust the Lord and be walking fully in his calling, but this does not mean that we do not need Him to be continually with us to strengthen us and keep us from going astray.  Right now, more than ever, you need him right where you are. You need Jesus to invade your home, neighborhood, your workplace, your school, your church, your city and nation. Not matter how spiritually mature you may be or how good things may be going, pride is the only thing that will cause us to walk our daily lives without asking God for supernatural protection and direction.

God directed him and the people the way they should go and protected them along the way.

Holy Spirit must be infused into every moment of our lives that the glory of God may be constantly and continually flowing out of us for all those who need Him to come and drink!

Jesus, I thank you that you are The One who does mighty signs, wonders, and miracles.  I thank you that you are The Good Shepherd that walks with me in my everyday life.

As this happens, may you glorify Him and be propelled to new levels with Him!
