Advance 22/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

Well done!  We are now past the halfway mark, past Daniel’s precedent of 21 days, and beginning week 4 of The 40.  Do not waver! Do not falter! Press into Jesus, and be propelled into the next level with Him!!

This morning, I felt The Lord highlight one word, “Advance“.  This word means a lot to me for different reasons, but one of the reasons is this is an official military term, in my mind at least.  As we move forward into uncharted territory, God is leading and guiding.  He has gone before us to direct us in the right way we should go (John 10:4). Yesterday, the focus was on Touching The Kingdom, and the seeking of direction and revelation through humility, hunger, repentance, prayer, and fasting.  This should be our way of life until we receive our orders.   Then, we must “Advance” into all God has for us.

Even understanding a proper definition of advance gives us a clue into what God is speaking to us today.

Advance:

  • Move forward in a purposeful way (Help us all to move forward with Your plans and in Your purposes Lord!)
  • Accelerate growth or progress of (We desire to progress and grow in You, Lord)
  • Raise to a higher rank (Thank you for raising us up to higher ranks in The Kingdom as we faithfully carry out our assignments at the level we are now.)
  • To lift up (Lift us up into heavenly realms with You)
  • Bring forward in time (Bring us all forward in time that we may be mature believers on mission with You!)
  • My personal definition would be the effective assisting in hastening a process or bringing about a desired end.  May we all be advanced in our own lives, and be used to advance The Kingdom of God today!

In the Word, we can see this happening throughout the entire Bible, but we will focus on what is taking place in Acts 13.  The setting of this passage is the rapid growth of the church.  If you remember, they were first called Christians at Antioch, literally meaning “little Christ”.  The gospel is being proclaimed, and persecution has taken the life of James the apostle.  This was the first of the apostles to be martyred.  Peter was set to be killed as well, but through constant prayer, God miraculously delivers Him.  This is where we pick up in our reading.

The church is at a pivotal point in history. They must come to a decision if the persecution and death is too much and they should calm down in what they are doing, or if they should continue to advance The Kingdom in spite of all this.

Acts 13:1-2 Now in the church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

The response of the early church to the persecution and death of James and near martyrdom of Peter is to gather together and minister to The Lord.

How was this done? In Acts 2:42, 47 and 6:4 we find some clues: continue steadfastly in apostles doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread, prayer, praising God, and ministry of The Word.  In this passage we see, they also fasted.  Fellowship, worship, prayer, and fasting are literally ministry to The Lord. As they ministered to The Lord, Holy Spirit revealed what they were to do next.

It is interesting, they did not have a vision-casting meeting. They did not form a committee to talk about business. They did not try to figure out the most logical business model to follow. They gathered the leaders to worship, prayer, and fasting.  It is a sad fact that in many churches today, call a church business meeting and everyone shows up, but call a church prayer meeting more crickets show up than people.  However, if you call a prayer meeting without food and call a people to fast, this is like what happened in the early church. Only hungry people allowed.  This is where Holy Spirit brought revelation of what was to happen next.

When Holy Spirit released this revelation, they did not end the meeting and say lets get to work. Why? Because this was not the point of the meeting.  They were there to worship God with everything they had to give.  As a result, when they received revelation this is what they did:

Vs. 3 Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.

They continued in worship, prayer, and thanksgiving. What Holy Spirit revealed in a time of worship, prayer, and fasting was commissioned and sent out by worship, prayer, and fasting.  The focus was ministering to God and the commissioning and sending out of Barnabas and Saul for the advancement of The Kingdom was part of this ministering to God.  No man or even church was glorified in the sending out of these men.

Verse 4 begins with “So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit…”  There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that this was a work of Holy Spirit for the advance of The Kingdom.  This is before Saul had prove himself to the church.  He is still in the care of Barnabas and there is probably still those who do not fully trust him.  That did not matter when Holy Spirit had set him apart to send him out. In the very next chapter Saul is violently persecuted and stoned. The strength knowing Holy Spirit had called him and sent him out enabled him to return to the very cities that this took place.

My encouragement for us today is that as we gather together daily to worship, pray, and fast, whether together in body or spirit, Holy Spirit will bring wisdom, understanding, and revelation that only comes from Him.  As He does, may we all be strengthened with might to advance The Kingdom and walk in what He has called us to.  Nothing can hold you back from advancing to the next level with Him if you are living and walking as His partner.

    Practical –

    • Ask for revelation of how you can minister to God today
    • As you minister to Him, seek wisdom, revelation, and understanding that only comes from Him
    • As He reveals, ask for the strength and ability to obey
    • Continue in Worship and ministry to Him
    • Obey all He directs you to do

Be blessed with the ability to truly advance The Kingdom in partnership with Holy Spirit. May you receive wisdom, understanding, revelation and might as you minister to Holy Spirit.  May this propel you to the next level with Him!

    The Memorial 20/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

Well, here we are at day 20, the halfway point.  At the beginning of the fast, it may have seemed impossible to fast The 40, but here we are halfway to completing our commitment.  If you have been here from day 1, congratulations. If you jumped in some time along the way, good job. If you fell and messed up, no problem.  Let’s get up and continue on together in God’s great grace and mercy.  We have the eternal reward of seeing Jesus in a special way today.  Let’s run this race to receive the prize!

Today, is a special day that we remember and mark as a memorial.  We see it as an encouragement to continue, but it is an important spiritual marker as well. God looks on and remembers all the special times we give to seek Him in a special way.  If God is truly “a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”, then special times of seeking Him will receive a special reward.  I am sure we would all like to see some scripture backing up this encouragement.  For this, let us look at Acts 10.

This chapter is pivotal for Acts and especially for us as Gentiles.  Until this point, we have seen the apostles going out and ministering to God’s children in Israel only.  At this moment, God changes the mind of the apostles to include all people everywhere in the preaching of the good news.  God was opening the door for them to go out and preach the gospel to the uttermost part of the earth. To do this, God needed someone that was seeking Him.  Someone who was doing something special in The Kingdom. He needed Cornelius.

Acts 10:1-2 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always.

Cornelius was a well-respected Roman leader who was known for fearing God, giving and praying always.  Here was a Gentile seeking God.  He had built a reputation as one who would seek God in a special way, so apparently, he had been doing this for years.  We find out later in the chapter, that not only was he seeking God, giving generously, and praying continually, he was also fasting.

Acts 10:30 So Cornelius said, “Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

Cornelius, a non-Jewish person, had built a lifestyle of seeking God in a special way.  Here was a man that God could use to bring about the most radical change in The Kingdom since Holy Spirit fell in Acts 2.

Acts 10:3-4 About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!” And when he observed him, he was afraid, and said, “What is it, lord?” So he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God.

What does this verse say? Cornelius’ fasting, prayer, and giving went up as a memorial before The Lord. The eyes of The Lord were looking for someone who was seeking Him to change the very course of history for the rest of eternity.  Unknowingly, Cornelius had built a huge neon sign in the spiritual realm that said, “Here I am, use me!” God did not have to look far or hard to see the great memorial that had been built up for years by this man that had no real guarantee of receiving anything for any of these things he did.  His desire and intention was to seek God and bless His people.  God sees the memorial and says, “Here is a man I can use.”

Cornelius obeys the instructions above and beyond what the angel speaks, it seems even better than Peter.  A reluctant Peter comes and cannot even finish a proper sermon before the hunger and expectation in the people that Cornelius had gathered together was rewarded with the outpouring of The Spirit.

How long did Cornelius cry out, “Here I am use me”?

How many years of continuous prayer, fasting, and giving were being built up before the time was right for God to move in a mighty way?

How much time did he spend in the secret place not seeming to receive anything?

Was Cornelius fasting and praying somewhere while the Holy Spirit was poured out on the apostles in the upper room?

How big was the memorial that was built up before God?

On that day, when Holy Spirit fell on him and all the people he had gathered together in obedience to the word, it was all worth it.  He would not have traded one shekel, one meal, one hour that went into the building of this memorial in The Kingdom.  At this point, his spirit was crying out more than ever, “Here I am use me!”

This is my encouragement for you. No matter how you may have struggled during the first 20 days, Jesus is worth it.  The memorial being built in your life is greater than you could imagine. How many have been willing to go The 40 that God might look on the earth and see these memorials all over the earth saying, “Here I am use me!”?  This is who I want to be. I want to be used for The Kingdom. I want to be a laborer in the harvest. I want to be the most useful instrument in The Kingdom. If there is no one else willing to do the dirty work, may my sign continue to say, “Here I am, use me!!!” I know this is your heart as well.

What can God do with a community of people who say “Here I am use me” with their lips and their lifestyle?

Jesus, give me the strength of spirit and resolve to continue throughout the rest of The 40 and beyond in a memorial building lifestyle.  I desire to be the one whose lips and lifestyle loudly proclaim, “Here I am use me!”

    Practical –

    • Ask Holy Spirit to strengthen you to continue in your daily commitment
    • Continue to pray “Here I am use me” with your lips
    • Become increasingly obedient in your day to day life in all Holy Spirit reveals

Be blessed to receive revelation of the memorial you have created by recognizing the answered prayers and receiving the promises of God in an increasing measure.  May you be used mightily for The Kingdom as your heart and character line up with The King’s!

    The Heavens Declare 17/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

As we approach the halfway mark of The 40, know this, God is with you.  He has promised to never leave you or forsake you.  Another tactic of the enemy to pull you out of The 40 is to make you feel alone.  I pray that you are encouraged by the community and words that are being shared here.  It is always easier to share struggles with someone who is going through everything right alongside you, and that is why we are here.  However, Jesus is even closer and able to help far more than those in your spiritual family.  Never forget, He is here to help, love, and support you no matter what.

I encourage you today to focus on the goodness of GodHe is faithful to us and every one of the promises he has spoken over us.  He blesses us with His abounding grace and abundant mercy. He overwhelms us with the gifts of heaven, and too often, we forget to be thankful.  In some way, we think that we deserve for God to be this good to us or that we have earned it by our right living.  We must learn to be thankful at all times and declare the wonderful works of God continually.  What did Jesus say about this?

Jesus reveals something interesting when He is told to make his disciples be silent:

Luke 19:40 But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”

The rocks in creation who have done nothing but sit there from the beginning of time are thankful for who God is and would cry out giving glory to God in their own way if we they were able.  How much more should we worship Him, who have been given wisdom to see the glory and speech to say it?  David also has some interesting things to say along these lines:

Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.

Creation itself is continually declaring the glory of God just in the day to day things that happen.  Sadly, we get used to seeing the beauty of nature and it no longer impresses us.  The beauty of a sunrise is eclipsed by the fact that we have to get up early again and go to work.  We are tired and inward focused and rarely catch the beauty of God’s creation declaring His glory.  The majesty of a rain storm is drowned out by our complaints that now we are going to get wet and be uncomfortable.  Selfishness and inconvenience often cause us to overlook the glory of God being manifest in our midst.

After an extended time of bearing the punishment of their people by being in captivity in a foreign land, the people of Israel return to the land of their inheritance.  Everything is broken down and in disrepair.  Nehemiah leads the people into a time of returning to the law.  They read the law for seven days straight and agree to obey it.  They set about to keep the feasts in the word and worship God.  This is when we see the people worshiping God in a special way:

Nehemiah 9:1-3 Now on the twenty-fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, in sackcloth, and with dust on their heads. Then those of Israelite lineage separated themselves from all foreigners; and they stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers. And they stood up in their place and read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for one-fourth of the day; and for another fourth they confessed and worshiped the Lord their God.

The people have been reading the word for day, and this causes them to come to God in worship by repentance, confession, prayer, and fasting.  They read more of the word and then worship more, and then they begin to bless the Lord:

Nehemiah 9:5-6 “Blessed be Your glorious name, Which is exalted above all blessing and praise! You alone are the LordYou have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, And You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You.

Your fasting is worship to God.  Your prayers are worship to God.  Your repentance and confession is declaring the glory of God.  As we spend time seeking Him and pressing into all that He has for us, true worship with come forth from our hearts and our lives that will declare God’s glory in a way that no other thing can.  How can the choice to give up a legitimate pleasure as a sacrifice give glory to God?  By this, we are saying, “Jesus, I love you more!  You are worth it!”  What joy comes to The Father’s heart when his children voluntarily give Him a gift from what little they have to give.  This is true worship and truly declares the glory of God to all the hosts of heaven.  Today, we choose to worship God once again with the sacrifice of our humble hearts.

Jesus, I choose to declare Your glory today.  In my thoughts, words, and actions, help me to recognize and declare Your glory.  Help me to continually give you worship in everything I say and do.  In all I do may I glorify Your Name!

    Practical –

    • Set a time to watch a sunrise, sunset, or spend time watching at the stars
    • Ask Holy Spirit to reveal the glory that creation is declaring to you in this
    • Commit to worship God in thought, word, and action today

Be blessed with the God given ability to recognize the glory of God in the tiniest of details.  May your very life declare the glory of God in all you think, say, and do!

What’s It Worth To You? 3/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

Psalm 118:24 “This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!”

Today, I will choose to be thankful and bless The Lord no matter how my body may feel.  Right now, if you have given up food, it is normal for your body to go through some of the same symptoms of withdrawal.  Too much salt, sugar, and caffeine in our daily lives will cause headaches, nausea, achy limbs, a general feeling of weakness… as these are removed, and the body rids itself of toxins.  The good news is that these fleshly oppositions should pass today or tomorrow completely.

If you have decided to participate in this fast, the only question now is –

    What’s it worth to you?

In our daily lives, we rarely have to give up anything of true value.  However, when we do, we must calculate if it is truly worth it.  There is a great difference between when you look into your purse or wallet and decide what you will pay for a shirt, book, or meal; and when you must consider the price you would pay for college, a car, or a house.  An object is only worth as much as we are willing to give for it.  Careful thought is put into how much a man will pay for a ring because you cannot put a price on the one that you really love.

As we fast and go through the daily troubles and temptations (i.e. your boss buying your favorite lunch for everyone the first day of the fast) let us look to Jesus and consider how much He is worth to us.

Maybe this is where you find yourself today:

2 Corinthians 4:8-11 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 11 For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

Troubles, persecutions, and the death of the enemy may come upon us in many different ways, but even as our flesh is delivered to death it is a necessary sacrifice to manifest the life of Jesus in our flesh!

May the life of Jesus shine out of you today and bring glory to The Father!

Something else to think about. In the middle of a discourse on denying your flesh, Jesus asks these two questions in Mark 8:36-37: For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? 37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

What is a soul truly worth?

Jesus bled, suffered, and died that your soul might be set free.  That is how much your soul is worth to Him.

How much is Jesus truly worth to You?

How much do you value the lost souls around you?

Jesus, I am willing to do whatever it takes and give up whatever it costs that You may be glorified and that lost souls may come into Your Kingdom!!! Help me to truly value You not just in my words but in my daily actions of obedience!

    Practical –

    • Read Mark 8:34-38 and contemplate the value of a soul.

    • Make sure you have included a list of lost or backslidden people in your daily prayer time.

    • Listen and obey when Holy Spirit brings up specific things to do for these individuals.

Be blessed to know the true value of your soul and the souls of those around you as you are propelled into the next level!!!

    Propelled Into The Next Level

It has been a great to joy to sit back and watch how God has used Katie to take over most of the encouragement this year.  With what God is speaking now, I felt it necessary to share this encouragement that will help propel you to the next level in your relationship with God.

Are you in a place of weary waiting?  Have you stood on the promises of God and cried out for so long and nothing seems to happen?  Do you desire a change of circumstances? Are you desperate for doors to be opened? Are you hungry for new power to be released?

Do you desire to be propelled to the next level?!?!

Many may not receive this as a word of encouragement.  Most will ignore it and continue in the same old way of life. Some will accept it as truth, but few will take this word of encouragement and put it into practice and be powerfully propelled into new levels with the Lord.

The principle I am going to speak of was followed by every major player in both the Old and New Testament. Moses, David, Elisha, Peter, Paul, John and so many more all followed this principle and were propelled into new levels of power when they did.  It seems strange in knowing all this that anyone who truly follows Christ would be unwilling to participate in this practice.  It is never easy for any of us to deny our flesh and follow in the footsteps of Christ.  However, obedience will rocket us into the exponential increase that we all desire.

For those who truly desire to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, let us hear what He has to say about this great power available for all who partake in it.

    Matthew 6:16 “…when you fast…”

What did He say?  Is that in red? Did Jesus actually say the “F” word?  Why didn’t He say IF you fast”? Isn’t fasting just an option for true extremists?

How many of you have been in church for years and never heard anything about fasting?  Obviously, this verse must be taken out of context or some obscure part that no one ever reads.  I am sorry to say that this is right in the middle of probably the most famous sermon of all time “The Sermon on the Mount”.  From this discourse we get, “The Beatitudes”, “The Lord’s Prayer”, “Love your enemies”, and many of the other more famous words of Jesus.

You can read the context for yourself in Matthew 6, but here is a quick refresher.

Matthew 6:3-4But when you give, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your giving may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.”

“When you give” is a passage that probably comes up regularly during offering time in the church. Here, the Father rewards the giving that is done out of a right heart.  Nobody would deny these words of Jesus as being essential to growth in the Lord.

Matthew 6:6 “…when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”

Here is another widely known passage that is followed by the Model Prayer.  Everyone would affirm that it is necessary to pray and learn how to pray more and better to proceed in your walk with God.  The Father who sees these prayers will reward you for the time spent praying and crying out to Him.

The passage from Matthew 6:16-18 continues in the same parallel repeating twice, “…when you fast…”. The thought is completed as verse 18 ends your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”

Surely Jesus would not put fasting on the same level as giving and praying in the essential steps to being propelled into the next level in The Kingdom.  Whenever I bring up this topic, people groan and look at me like some sort of alien. “I like food too much”, or “that is too hard,” or “you are crazy”, are some of the common responses that I have received just by bringing up one or two verses as I have mentioned above.  I encourage you to study fasting throughout the New and Old Testament and see the great men that walked it out and what they gained as a lifestyle of fasting with prayer out of a right heart.

img_6674.jpgIf nothing else, Jesus Himself left us the perfect example. After Jesus’ baptism in Matthew 3, He was led by The Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. This was the time of testing that would prove who Jesus really was.  What did Jesus do to prepare and continue to stand strong in the midst of the greatest onslaught of the enemy? At the beginning of Matthew 4, we see plainly that Jesus fasted forty days. He gave up the worldly way of gaining strength and power and took up the spiritual empowerment of fasting and prayer.  Because of this, He was ready for all the enemy had to throw at Him.

Later in Matthew 17:20-21, prayer and fasting come up again as a dynamite combination that allows the impossible to be accomplished through your life.  So many of us want a secret formula that will help us overcome the enemy, or the secret weapon that will destroy the enemies’ hold on our lives. Here it is:

I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.  However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.

If you need more incentive here are just some of the benefits of fasting and praying with the right heart:

    1. Corporate Freedom (The Salvation of a City) Jonah 3:1-10

Here an entire city, over 120,000 are saved because of repentance, fasting and prayer

    2.  The Healing of the Land2 Chronicles 7:13-14

If you study it out, the main outward expression of humbling yourself before God is fasting.

    3. To Influence Government and Save a PeopleEsther 4:16-17

Esther, Mordecai, and the Jewish people fasted and prayed and God brought deliverance.

    4. Personal Freedom and BreakthroughIsaiah 58

This is probably the best place to view many of the numerous blessings of fasting and prayer out of a right heart.

    5. Empowerment of the AngelicDaniel 9:3-4, 20-21

    6. Opening of the Eyes to Spiritual RealmDaniel 10:2-11, Acts 10:30

    7. Gaining UnderstandingDaniel 9:3-10:12

There are many more benefits and blessings that can be found throughout Scripture if you care to study the topic further.

Before I end, I want to give a few simple definitions of fasting.

Lou Engle states “Fasting and prayer is designed to humble yourself, reveal your flesh, and purify your worship“.

David Hogan says “Fasting is a good way to get hungry“.

A personal definition that I have come up with is giving up a legitimate pleasure as a sacrifice to gain breakthrough and a deepening relationship with the Lord.  We do this because we love Jesus, and He is worth it!

I want to encourage you to begin cultivating a lifestyle of prayer and fasting into your Christian walk.  Every new level in my personal life has been marked by a new commitment to prayer, fasting, and spending time in The Word.

THIS IS YOUR INVITATION TO INCREASE!!!

From Monday, August 26th – Friday, October 4th God has called me to consecrate a 40 day fast for several reasons not the least of which is Revival and souls for The Kingdom.  I encourage you to fast one, two, or all of the three major areas that we are controlled by:

    1. Food
    2. Media
    3. Sleep

Allow God to lead you into the next level of fasting that you may be propelled into the next level with Him.

A word of advice when fasting food more than three days, please study the right way not only to fast but also to break a fast. Often the world understands the health benefits of fasting better than Christians understand the spiritual benefits. Because of this, there are many websites that can aid in fasting and breaking extended fasts.

    If you would like to carry on further study here are the three best books I have found on prayer and fasting;

    1. The Atomic Power with God thru Fasting and Prayer by Franklin Hall
    2. Shaping History through Prayer and Fasting by Derek Prince
    3. The Jesus Fast by Lou Engle

May the Lord truly bless you as you prepare to be propelled into the next level with Him.  Always remember:

Hebrews 11:6 “…He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

May you receive the fullness of The Great Rewarder!!!

Press In and Press Through Till There’s Breakthrough: A Call to Fast and Pray!

Early yesterday morning as I sat in prayer and to seek the Lord, He began to speak to me. For me, one of the biggest ways that He speaks to me is when I submit myself to His leading and His voice, by putting pen to paper. Yesterday was no different.

I felt such a strong pressing of this word and of it’s imperative timely status in the spirit. A kairos moment is upon us! I very much sensed that in the days leading up to Pentecost on June 9, that Father is bringing forth from Heaven a slim window of opportunity to the Body of Christ to see promises revealed transform into promises fulfilled. This has become increasingly apparent to me in the past few weeks and the urgency of the hour at hand is increasing as well.

    This is what He said:

“NOW IS THE TIME in which the windows of Heaven are open and My blessings are being released in great proportion. NOW IS THE TIME in which My angelic messengers are carrying forth into the earth promises longed for, hoped for, prayed for, and warred for. There is an opened access door into the storehouses of Heaven to deliver that which was once blocked of release.

BEWARE of a slumbering presence that seeks to hinder the release and to stall the revealing! It seeks to blind and conceal with darkness, the revelation of divine release.

I tell you truly, IF you will commit to set your gaze, focus, and sights upon My Kingdom in this hour, THEN  I will bring into you that which has been promised. I will send warring angels on your behalf to bring deliverance and divine release.

DARE TO DREAM BIG WITH ME!

DO NOT LET slumber fall to your eyelids lest you remain blinded and fail to receive that which is coming on the clouds!

STAY AWAKE AND STAY UP WITH ME!!!

Circle your promises and keep circling them until I give the signal for every demonic delay to come toppling down; yes, crumbling down!!!”

Beloved, we MUST NOT allow this moment to pass us by! We must not be like those who in Jesus’ day, dwelt among THE ANSWER to every prophecy they had held onto for hundreds of years; and yet, they were completely blinded to the reality that their Savior stood right in front of them. Even His own disciples, His closest friends, doubted His resurrected existence as He stood among them.

It is time to strip off all unbelief, all doubt, all fear and complacency, every lie, and every deception that would blind us to His Presence and His activity in the earth at this moment and in the time to come!

I must share that something interesting occurred as I received this message from the Lord. The spirit of slumber attempted to overtake me. One could say, “Well, you had four hours of sleep! Of course that would happen!” I don’t disagree. However, this time was different. I was wide awake at 4:30 to seek Jesus and it was not until He began to release this word that I sensed the onslaught of this spirit. I discerned it’s presence and I warred for the Word, though my eyelids be heavy. To my husband, it probably would’ve been the gentlest of warring that he’s seen from me; not noticeable, even.

I believe something natural in the Kingdom of Heaven took place. Because I had submitted myself to Him to seek and receive, He fought for me. Because He saw my hunger and longing, He slayed the giants opposing me. I will say, most of, if not all of the word I received was written down with my eyes closed as I rested in He, Who fights my battles. He began to expose that which sought to hinder the release of the word was indeed, the ‘slumbering presence’ in which He spoke of.

As I dwelled on this word, He reminded me of a prophetic declaration and song that came forth from my lips two days ago, “Press in, and press through till there’s breakthrough!”

He then led me back to the Gospel accounts I studied last week from Jesus’ encounter with His disciples, Peter, James, and John in the Garden of Gethsemane, just before He was betrayed by Judas and led to His crucifixion. I was wrecked last week of His interaction with His closest friends in their last moments together. He chose them to join Him in praying, for the hour was urgent to seek God.

Mark 14:33-35 says, “An intense feeling of great horror plunged His soul into deep sorrow and agony. And He said to them, ‘My heart is overwhelmed with anguish and crushed with grief. It feels as though I’m dying. STAY HERE AND KEEP WATCH WITH ME.’ He walked a short distance away, and being overcome with grief, He threw Himself facedown on the ground. He prayed that if it were possible, He would not have to experience this hour of suffering.Verse 37-38 says, Then He came back to His three disciples and found them all sound asleep. He awakened Peter and said to him, ‘Simon, are you asleep? Do you lack the strength to stay awake with Me for EVEN JUST AN HOURKeep alert and pray that you’ll be spared from this time of testing. For your spirit is eager enough, but your humanity is feeble.'”

They couldn’t stay awake for even ONE HOUR! Why?!?!?!?!

He did this three times, going off to pray in agony as though He were dying. Three times He returned to find His closest friends asleep. I believe He placed a test before them of their devotion to Him through any trial that may come. He chose them specifically to join Him in His secret place; however this time, they joined Him in what was probably the sole dark night of the soul in His life. I believe it was perhaps similar to Elijah’s test of Elisha in 2 Kings 2. Elisha prevailed in this test and not only saw His father taken into Heaven, but also received a double portion of Elijah’s mantle because he refused to depart from his father and was determined to receive what his Father had.

However, I do not believe the disciples passed Jesus’ test. They did not refuse to depart from Him in this moment where He obviously was like they had never seen Him be. They remained where they were and allowed Him to go on in solitude to cry out to God for relief from the cup He was to drink of. What if when He said, “STAY HERE AND KEEP WATCH WITH ME”, that it was actually a command to abide with Him and an invitation to join Him in His suffering? Luke 22:43-44 say that He called for an angel of glory to come and strengthen Him.” Would that have been necessary if they had joined Him?

Verses 39-42 state, “Then He left them a second time and went to pray the same thing. Afterward, He came back to the disciples and found them sound asleep, FOR THEY COULDN’T KEEP THEIR EYES OPEN AND THEY DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY TO HIM. After praying for the third time, He returned to His disciples and awoke them again, saying, ‘Do you plan on sleeping and resting indefinitely? THAT’S ENOUGH SLEEP! THE END HAS COME AND THE HOUR HAS ARRIVED for the Son of Man to be handed over to the authority of sinful men. Get up and let’s go. DON’T YOU SEE? My betrayer draws near.'”

THEY COULDN’T KEEP THEIR EYES OPEN AND THEY DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY TO HIM.

What came upon them and overtook them so greatly that they literally COULD NOT keep their eyes open and keep watch with Him and had no answer for Him as to why? I believe that it was the same slumbering spirit that Father spoke of in the message He gave me. It seeks to blind in darkness, the vision and provision of Heaven. The word for “keep watch” and “see” literally means, “to see in the spirit”. Jesus was not telling them to watch with their natural eyes, but to keep watch and guard with their spirit eyes. If it is allowed to operate, then it will block what is being released from Heaven to earth.

I believe that in this hour, Jesus is calling His Bride to band together, stand together, and contend together through a season of intense and intentional prayer, fasting, and seeking. There are promises that have been pent up and blocked from release but His promise is that if we will seek Him in these ways, that He will send His angels to remove the barriers that the release may come.

I truly believe that we are in a brief Daniel 10 moment of time. Just as Daniel set his face to pray and fast for the release of revelation of the vision, WE TOO, MUST SEIZE THIS MOMENT WITH ACTION! I believe that just as with Daniel, if we do this, we will be met by the same glowing man to dispatch angels of deliverance. He is Jesus.

Per the urging of the Lord, I am calling a 40-day fast beginning tomorrow, May 1st until Pentecost Sunday, June 9th. I strongly urge you to join me! If you have been contending for miracles, healing, salvations, promises, deliverance; NOW IS THE TIME!!! Just as He met His faithful ones who remained through the release of Holy Spirit and fire on Pentecost, I believe that He is bringing forth the same in this hour!!!

    Victorious in Light

This morning while in the secret place, I had been reading the last few chapters of Mark’s account of Jesus’ path to the cross, His resurrection, His encounters with believers and His friends after His resurrection, and of His commission to His apostles to go into all the earth, preach the Good News and make disciples.

I reflected upon what Jesus did during those specific last days two-thousand years ago. He suffered continuous betrayal, died a cruel sinner’s death upon the cross, though He be sinless. He shattered the gates of hell and took back the keys of death and the grave, and He rose to life victoriously. He commissioned His apostles and us to go to every nation, tribe, and tongue and declare that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand; and He ascended to sit upon His heavenly throne and reign victoriously forever. He went to prepare a place for us.

As I sat overwhelmed with a fresh revelation of this reality leading up to Resurrection Day tomorrow, He began to speak to me about what He is doing now and what He is going to do. I heard Him say:

“Glory and splendor are rising unto My name. Death has been defeated and I am victorious in light!!! You will look and see My glory in ways unheard of! So much joy is coming in a mighty increase, yes, a mighty crescendo throughout eternity.

The nations will gaze upon Me and be filled with new life!

My glory is My goodness; and I restore what was broken and severed. You have yet to know what I am going to do! For what is coming is going to be greater than what has been!

For My name’s sake, I am bringing with Me a new light and a new life in this present darkness. Where the sun and moon will be darkened, I will bring a flash of light that will be a sign to you of My promise. A sign of release to My gift of restoration will you see.

I am taking what was broken and left in destitution and I am rebuilding a new creation, far better than what was. The nations will gaze upon what I masterfully create and will be amazed and in awe and wonder!

You will know the age of rejoicing has come by these signs. Come with your joy offerings and your sacrifices of love and watch what I do! I make all things better than before! I make all things new!”

    Isaiah 60:1-4 (TPT)
“Rise up in splendor and be radiant, for your light has dawned, and Yahweh’s glory now streams from you! Look carefully! Darkness blankets the earth, and thick gloom covers the nations, but Yahweh arises upon you and the brightness of His glory appears over you! Nations will be attracted to your radiant light and kings to the sunrise-glory of your new day. Lift up your eyes higher! Look all around you and believe, for your sons are returning from far away and your daughters are being tenderly carried home. Watch as they all gather together, eager to come back to you!”

    V. 10, 14 (TPT)
“Foreigners will rebuild your walls and their kings will serve you. Even though I punished you in My anger, I will restore you in My gracious favor, and show you My tender compassion.”
“The descendants of your oppressors will come bowing low before you, and all who hated you will bow down at your feet. They will call you The Beautiful City of Yahweh, Glorious Zion of the Holy One of Israel.”

    V. 15-16 (TPT)
“Although once you were rejected and despised, undesirable for anyone to pass through you, I will make you majestic forever, a source of joy for every generation. You will guzzle the milk of nations and suckle at the breast of kings. You will know Me intimately that I am Yahweh, your Savior, for I am the Mighty Hero who rules over Jacob’s tribes, your Kinsman-Redeemer!”

    V. 19-22 (TPT)
“The sun will no longer be needed to brighten the day, nor the moon to shine at night, for Yahweh will be your unfailing light; your God will be your glory! There will be no more sunsets or new moons, for Yahweh will be your everlasting light and your days of sadness will be over. All your people will be righteous and will permanently possess the land. I planted them there as a tender sapling, the work of My own hands to display My glory. I will multiply the least of you into a thousand and the weakest one into a mighty nation. I am Yahweh, and when the right time comes, I will accomplish it swiftly!”
