5780 -Arise Mouthpieces of Righteousness!

Yesterday began Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year 5780. While in my time with the Lord early yesterday morning, He spoke a truly exciting word that I realized afterwards was a word for this new year. I began to see what He was speaking taking form as I was caught up into a vision of its manifestation in the earth. Great fire filled my spirit as well as determination to see it come to pass.

I heard the Lord saying:

This New Year brings with it a light and the glory that will shine bright. For from the darkness a great light will shine and those who have been like the blind up on the walls feeling their way around will find their way home again.

As I bellow My name out across the expanse of the heavens in this time, My name will wash a multitude of sins as My blood cleanses and renews.

Truly, I am releasing a wave of divine recompense and it will command and demand a swift change that will turn things around. As you come to and near the light, you will find yourself arising higher upon My Holy Hill and as I roar forth My decree, you will see a swift change and turn.

I will place My decree upon your lips and My roar in your lungs to be My Mouthpieces of Righteousness in the land. You will march forth from My Holy Hill and with lips emblazoned, well roar forth My righteousness in the earth.

A mighty army is arising to take nations and generations into My glory for My glory!

I say, “Where are they who would run with torch in hand and run into the darkness, becoming the embodiment of My Light of Life? Where are the ones who would give up their very lives for this great cause? Where are they who have seen My gaze and whose eyes have become seared with My fire?! Where are they, who all they would see would be marked with My fire?! It is these ones who will not see things as they are, but as they will be and will decree and declare them into existence. Great glory marks the path of these ones who will stop at nothing to bring nations with them to My Holy Mountain.”

As He spoke this word, I felt such a strong pull in the spirit that we would see unprecedented waves of souls in this coming year. That the sound of His roar would suddenly shake the scales off the eyelids of the prodigals and they would come running towards the light He has placed in the hands of His Burning Ones. Like a lighthouse set upon a high place in the deep darkness of the night, the Light of Life would pierce through the darkness and beckon Salvation Come!

He has cultivated a generation of shofars in the wilderness in the past season, who will now emerge to bellow forth the roaring blast of His coming and all will see, hear, and know that the time for returning is now!

Isaiah 42:5-9 (TPT)
Here are the words of the true God, Yahweh, the One Who created the starry heavens and stretched them out. He is the One Who formed the earth and filled it with life. He gives breath to every person and spirit to everyone everywhere.
“I, Yahweh, have commissioned you in righteousness to succeed. I will take your hand in love watch over you. I will give you as a covenant for the people, a walking-light to the nations. Your mission is to open blind eyes, to set prisoners free from dark dwellings, and to open prison doors to those who are held by darkness. I am Yahweh; that is My name. I will not give My glory to another god nor my renown to idols. Don’t you see that what I have prophesied has come to pass? And now I am foretelling the future. I declare it to you before it sprouts up.”

Isaiah 60:1-4 (TPT)
Rise up in splendor and be radiant, for your light has dawned, and Yahweh’s glory now streams from you! Look carefully! Darkness blankets the earth, and thick gloom covers the nations, but Yahweh arises upon you and the brightness of His glory appears over you! Nations will be attracted to your radiant light and kings to the sunrise-glory of your new day. Lift up your eyes higher! Look all around you and believe, for your sons are returning from far away and your daughters are being tenderly carried home. Watch as they all gather together, eager to come back to you!

For too long many have been delayed and disarrayed in the previous season and the Lord is saying in this New Year, “NO MORE!!!” He is thrusting forth the doors of delay and loosing destiny upon His Bride; everything stolen will be returned with interest. You thought you were in the breaking in the last season; but I say to you, it was only the making!

Isaiah 42:13
Yahweh goes out to battle like a hero and stirs up His passion and zeal like a mighty warrior. Yes, His God-shout is a mighty battle cry; He will triumph heroically over all His foes.

Isaiah 42:16
“I will walk the blind by an unknown way and guide them on paths they’ve never traveled. I will smooth their difficult road and make their dark mysteries bright with light. These are things I will do for them, for I will never abandon My beloved ones. “

Isaiah 60:17b-18 (TPT)
I will install peace and prosperity as your government and righteousness as your overseer. Threats of violence will no longer be heard in your land, nor will destruction and ruin be found within your borders. You will name your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.

As He called forth those whose eyes would be seared with His fire, I was reminded of the total solar eclipse that took place two years ago and the dangers of gazing upon the sun as the moon shifted away from it. Many were left with permanent solar burns on their retinas. Wherever they looked, they would see the shape of the sun when its image was seared into their vision. As we gaze upon The Son, our vision will be seared with His  fire and we will see everything through the lense of His holiness where we will then prophesy it into existence. In this time, there is a special authority being released into the earth to decree and declare and see a swift manifestation unto fruition!

Isaiah 60:19-22
“The sun will no longer be needed to brighten the day, nor the moon to shine at night, for Yahweh will be your unfailing light; your God will be your glory! There will be no more sunsets or new moons, for Yahweh will be your everlasting light and your days of sadness will be over. All your people will be righteous and will permanently possess the land. I planted them there as a tender sapling, the work of My own hands to display My glory. I will multiply the lease of you into a thousand and the weakest one into a mighty nation. I am Yahweh, and when the right time comes, I will accomplish it swiftly!”

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement

One week from now, we will have completed The 40. Praise The Lord for His grace and mercy. Whatever God has called you to fast, you must be very careful in breaking the fast. A total fast must be broken with small amounts of juice every 4-6 hours. A juice fast should be broken with small amount of light fruit gradually adding in more complexity and quantity of food.  After fasting for so long, our bodies stop producing certain enzymes and it can have disastrous effects if we lack self-control at the end of the fast.  May God give us all the strength not just to pray and fast for His glory, but to break the fast and eat in a way that glorifies Him.

A few days back, we started talking about being God’s witnesses.  This starts from a place of knowing and growing in Him.  As we grow in Him, we will gain his heart and desires and begin to pray and ask for what is most valuable to Him. Souls and nations would be at the top of this list.  In our asking specifically for the lost in our family, neighborhood, sphere of influence, and nations, we must begin to speak out the wonderful works of God.  This is how all people will come to know who our Great God is.

Today, we move on to the next phase in being a witness: Act.  When we know God deeper, are praying along with His desire for souls, and speaking out our testimony and witness for His glory, we must begin to act on what Holy Spirit has called us to do.  Words without action are hypocrisy and will never lead to the next level with Him. Let’s look at what The Word has to say about this.

Joshua 1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses..

Here, Moses has just died and Joshua has become the new leader over all of Israel. I am sure Joshua is a little bit apprehensive in trying to follow in the footsteps of such a great man of God.  In the first chapter of Joshua, both God and the people tell Him not to fear multiple times.  In the middle of God’s encouragement to Joshua, He reveals this promise to him.  God has given Joshua and the people all of The Promised Land, but they have to go and take it.  They had to act in obedience with the word of God for this promise to take effect.  Let’s dig a little deeper into this.

The word tread in this verse comes from the Hebrew “Darak” which means to tread, lead, guide, wield, shoot, aim, march.  If we study this out, we find that God is giving us every place we have aimed our hearts in line with His will to seek. He is giving us every place we have followed Him in obedience to lay hold of.  It takes our action added on to our speaking, praying, and knowing that will allow us to be the witness that God has called us to be. You have to walk the walk not just talk the talk.

That is what God says in the Old Testament, but let’s see what Jesus has to say on the same subject:

Luke 17:5-10 And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat’? But will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself  and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink’? Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded  him? I think not. So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.’ ”

The apostles come to Jesus and ask for Him to increase their faith, as we probably have done ourselves. Jesus reveals that it is not the size of their faith that is most important. The smallest mustard seed of faith is enough to do seemingly impossible things.  Jesus then gives an illustration of masters and servants.  There is a reason these verses say “The Lord said”. The issue is not about increasing and gaining faith, it is about increasing obedience.  Contained in the promises and revelation of Truth we have been given, are conditions according to our obedience. Noah was instructed to build and ark.  Abraham was called to go out.  Moses was to go and speak to the Pharaoh. We could go through the scriptures proving what Jesus reveals here.  Actions and obedience are what take us to the next level.

My encouragement for us today is to take our witness to the next level. We must continue on with knowing God, asking for his heart of compassion for the lost, and even past speaking out His wonderful works.  We must begin to act in obedience to whatever He calls us to do. We do not need to be rewarded for being obedient to God, but we He is the rewarder! We will be rewarded whether we see it now or not. However, we must not be obedient to Him because of the reward we will get, but because He is worth it, and we love Him!  Practical action combined with speaking the word and asking for what God desires, because we are growing in knowing Him, will lead us to be propelled into the next level with Him.

Jesus, I want to be obedient to everything You have called me to do. You are my Lord and Master and what You say help me to always obey.  I know that Your power and promise depend upon my obedience to You. Help me never to limit what You are wanting to do in or through me because of my disobedience.  I want to love You with my “YES” and with my obedience!

Practical –

  • Ask Holy Spirit to help you to know Him more
  • Seek to know The Father’s heart
  • Speak out what God has done for you, your testimony
  • Act in obedience to everything He tells you to do

Be blessed with knowing and growing in God, receiving His heart, speaking The Truth of your testimony, and becoming increasingly obedient to everything you are called to. As this happens may you be propelled into the next level with Him!

Revelation of Truth 27/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

On this day, day 27, we have come to know we cannot walk alone especially in our outlandish commitments to The Lord.  It is by His grace and mercy and walking with a community of faith that we are able to accomplish everything He has for us.  I pray that you have a close community that will be praying and standing with you especially when the enemy comes in to distract, deceive, divide, and destroy.  Please know that this community is here to spur you on to greater love and greater works in The Kingdom. You are not alone!

Something happens when we fast that opens us up to receive in a way that nothing else can. We are caused to look past our own selfish desires and look to God for everything that we need.  We become little by little less self-sufficient and increasingly God-sufficient. He has everything that we need and gladly gives us it all as we seek Him.  It may not come in the time or way that we want, but God’s blessings are continually being poured out upon us, and it is easier to recognize this when we are fasting.

We are going to focus on one of these blessings today that is the birthplace of repentance that leads to revival.  We have heard that often a revival of repentance precedes a spiritual revival, but how does a desire for repentance come?  The prophet Jeremiah lived in a time of great rebellion, disobedience, and stubborn hardness against The Lord.  Somehow, Judah thought that since they were God’s chosen people that He would bless whatever they did and be with them however they lived.  Jeremiah was sent to repeatedly warn them to turn from such thinking.  If they would turn from their sin and seek The Lord, He would forgive and truly bless them the way He desired.

This is the setting of today’s reading. Jeremiah is confined and cannot go out to the people. So he writes the words of The Lord and sends Baruch with the revelation of Truth:

Jeremiah 36:6-7 You go, therefore, and read from the scroll which you have written at my instruction, the words of the Lord, in the hearing of the people in the Lord ’s house on the day of fasting. And you shall also read them in the hearing of all Judah who come from their cities. It may be that they will present their supplication before the Lord, and everyone will turn from his evil way. For great is the anger and the fury that the Lord has pronounced against this people.”

Even though the people of Judah are not living according to God’s standard or law, they have regular times of fasting where they would gather at the house of The Lord.  These religious acts did not do much because their hearts were wrong.  Because of this the full blessing of the Lord could not come upon them.  However, in the fasting, Jeremiah knows they are receptive to the revelation of Truth more than at any other time.  The purpose of the revelation of Truth is to bring the people to repentance.

Vs. 9-10 Now it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the Lord to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people who came from the cities of Judah to Jerusalem. Then Baruch read from the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the Lord, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the upper court at the entry of the New Gate of the Lord ’s house, in the hearing of all the people.

All the people come together for the religious fasting and Baruch is obedient to do what he is commanded. All the people are gathered in religious fasting in their most holy place, and they receive the revelation of Truth.  The land had recently undergone a reformation and cleansing of the land under the reign of King Josiah, however, they are quick to turn their hearts away again.  They gather to fast, probably instituted by The previous king, but are devoid of understanding and obedience.  Next, we see some of the people and officials response to the revelation of Truth.

Vs. 16 Now it happened, when they had heard all the words, that they looked in fear from one to another, and said to Baruch, “We will surely tell the king of all these words.”

Conviction comes to the hearts of these leaders of the people in such a way that they know they must present this revelation to the king.  They are truly convicted by this revelation of Truth and bring it to the King.  It seems the king is convicted by these words as well, but his response is anger not repentance. He cuts up the scroll, burns it, and tries to have Jeremiah and Baruch killed.  Sadly, even after the revelation of truth brings conviction to some and the people are already gathered in fasting, repentance never comes and Judah goes into captivity not long after this.

As we continue in fasting and prayer, God will bring continuous revelation of Truth as we seek Him.  However, we must be quick to repent in every area we are out of line and come to Him.  In this way, revelation of Truth leads to repentance, and repentance brings revival.  The revelation of Truth cannot bring revival on its own.  Our hearts proper response to this revelation will be repentance for our own actions, and the lifestyle of our people.  This proper response by us will lead to a change in the people around us, and then God can send a mighty revival to the land.

My encouragement for today is to continue to set your heart to seek God.  As you do, be carefully listening for Him to bring the revelation of Truth, because it will come.  As these words come may your heart be soft and pliable to align even more fully with God’s great purpose and plan.  A right heart response to the revelation of Truth will be repentance that leads to revival.  Even though it may seem that this revival is only taking place within you at the moment, know this.  Revival within you will come out of you.  The people with revival continually flowing inside them are the ones that God uses to ignite revival in their families, regions, and nations. These are the ones that are propelled into the next level with Him.  This is who we are designed to be!

Jesus, here I am Your child. I come to You and ask for new revelation of The Truth. I know that You are The Truth, and I am asking for new revelations of You. As this revelation occurs, help me to be able and willing to align myself even more fully with You. Give me a heart of repentance for every area that is out of order, and bring me into a revival of relationship with You. Jesus, give me new revelation of who you are and draw me closer than ever before!

Practical –

  • Ask Holy Spirit for revelation of Truth
  • Ask Him to give you a soft and pliable heart
  • Walk in a heart of repentance
  • Align yourself to obey all He asks of you

Be blessed to receive continuous revelation of Truth. May you receive revelation that leads to repentance in the mind, body, and soul.  May this revelation lead from repentance to revival in you.  May this blessing transform who you are and flow out of you to bring transformation in your family, region, and land!

Treasuring The Word 13/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

As we near the end of the second week, I want to encourage you to continue to return to The Lord for strength and life.  Some may have incredible will power, but the point of fasting and prayer is to humble yourself and say, “God, I need You!”  I would not have been able to make it this far without supernatural strength.

Here is another encouragement from Jesus’ words:

Matthew 5:3 Blessed [spiritually prosperous, happy, to be admired] are the poor in spirit [those devoid of spiritual arrogance, those who regard themselves as insignificant], for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever].

Those of us who realize our need for God are blessed and will be spiritually prosperous because we know it is His work in us and not the work of our hands.  Continue to trust in the grace and mercy of a loving God, and look to Him for all that you need.

As we continue to press in to The Lord and seek Him, we come to a realization.  Most of the time, food becomes built up in our lives as an idol, in the very least as a great treasure.  It is what we think about.  It is what we talk about.  It is what we build our gatherings around.  “Which restaurant do you want to go to?”, “What is for dinner?“,  and “What are we going to do for food?” are common questions, especially in the American society.

Our culture is built around the value of food, and often our waistlines reflect it.  You probably find this out more when you are fasting than any other time.  It is almost necessary to become a recluse because family time, hospitality, and all social gatherings are food-centered.  When this comfort is taken away, it can be hard to figure out what to do, for the one fasting and for those around them.  If you are not eating, for whatever reason, often your own family does not even know how to treat you.

In Matthew 4, Jesus elects to go The 40 to strengthen Himself spiritually to stand up against the temptation of the enemy.  What does the enemy tempt Jesus with first?  Food!  Here is Jesus’ answer quoting from the scriptures:

Matthew 4:4, Deuteronomy 8:3 “It is written,‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”

Food is necessary and important for the body to live, but Jesus puts His focus on what really matters, treasuring the Word of God.  Even though your body may be sustained physically, you can still become sick and even die of a broken heart or spirit.  However, The Word of God brings life to you that you cannot get any other way.  Your value has to be on what really matters.

As we are fasting, I pray that even though the comfort of food has been taken away, you replace it with the life giving Word of God.  When we read The Bible and seek Him in prayer for a personal word, this is what will sustain us through every situation in our lives.  If you have not already, I encourage you to set aside some extra time to read The Bible and pray, especially while you fast.  This will help you not only grow spiritually, but sustain you during The 40.

Someone else who knew the importance of the word is someone we know for going through some of the most difficult trials anyone has ever had to face, Job.  In the middle of his difficult situation where everything is taken away and even his wife and friends are turning against him, this is what He says:

Job 23:12 I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth More than my necessary food.

Everything that God has to say is vitally important.  Job says it should be treasured more than the food that is necessary to survive.  In his situation, he did not need food.  Food could not help him out of his grief and loss.  It could do nothing for Him.  However, he was hoping, clinging, and longing for The word from the mouth of God.  Life comes from Him!  Hope comes from Him!  Strength comes from Him!  As we seek The Lord, we must have ears to hear His word.  When we hear His word, we must be obedient to receive the true blessings He wants to pour out upon us.

Jesus, help me to truly treasure the words of your mouth more than anything in my life.  Open my ears to hear You.  Open my heart to obey You.  I want to base my life upon Your life-giving, life-sustaining word spoken to Me.

Practical –

  • Commit 15 – 30 mins extra time to spend seeking The Lord each day.
  • Read The Bible, 1-5 chapters a day
  • Ask Holy Spirit to open your ears and help you to truly value The Word

Be blessed with eyes to see the face of God, ears to hear new revelations of His glory, and a heart to be truly transformed by His presence!  May this propel you to the next level in Him!

The Secret of The 40 5/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

Having completed day 4, you have given a tithe of the 40 to the Lord.  This first fruit may have been difficult to achieve, but Father God is pleased with this sweet offering.

Today, I would like to reveal the secret of The 40, and why it is important to set apart a special period of fasting and prayer for this amount of time.

This is an excerpt from The Prophetic Whisper by Richard Gazowsky –

“I am going to show you a secret vulnerability in Satan’s kingdom. His weakness is in the flies.” Later that day, we went to the Carmel Public Library and looked up the word “fly”…I discovered that the meaning of Beelzebub, one of the names of Satan is, “Lord of the Flies”…Scientists have discovered that flies have a reproductive period that lasts from four hours to over forty days, depending on the species. When pest controllers go to eradicate flies in a certain area, they spray pesticides every day for a forty-day period. If they destroy the reproductive cycles of presently existing flies, they can kill off a whole generation of future flies. I then saw what God was trying to show me…if a Christian will pray consistently for a forty day period he will be able to conquer most satanic strongholds in his life.’

This revelation was astounding to me when I discovered it. No wonder we see all the major heroes of the faith fasting and praying The 40.  They were systematically destroying the reproductive rights of the enemy in their lives.  They desired to walk in The Fullness of The Kingdom and would not allow anything to hold them back.

Most of us know the story of David and Goliath.  The giant spews his venom in 1 Samuel 17:8-11.  By doing this, he is reproducing this fear from his lips into the hearts of Saul and the army. How long did he do this? Verse 16 confirms for forty days.

In Genesis 7 it rained forty days that the earth would be cleansed of its filth.

In Deuteronomy 8 The Israelites wandered in the desert forty years to destroy the unbelief of a generation.

In Deuteronomy 9:11 Moses fasted The 40 to receive the ten commandments.

In Deuteronomy 9:18 Moses fasts The 40 again to intercede for the salvation of a wicked people.

Elijah was sustained in 1 Kings 19 for The 40 to break the curse of Jezebel in the land.

It is possible that the people of Nineveh in Jonah 3 fasted and prayed The 40 for God’s mercy and grace.

Jesus fasted The 40 in preparation to overcome the enemy’s temptations.

The secret of The 40 is to overcome every demonic stronghold in your life and stop it from reproducing that you may truly be propelled into all that God has for you!!!

This is why the enemy will use any means necessary to keep you from The 40.  Twice in the first three days of the fast, someone has offered to buy me lunch.  Be careful of the enemy using the care and hospitality of others to lure you away from the power of The 40 being manifested in your life!

Jesus, give us the ability to go The 40 and receive the right to cut off the head of the Goliaths in our lives. We desire to be propelled into our destinies by the total defeat of the enemy!

Practical –

Read 1 Samuel 17 and meditate on the power of The 40 to destroy the reproductive rights of the enemy.

Study the lives of those who did The 40 and how they changed history.

Be blessed to endure throughout The 40 that you may destroy the enemy and glorify God through your life!

Press on and Press In 4/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

The fast is beginning to get real. I would venture to say that most people who have undertaken a complete food fast have not gone past three days.  The good news is that it should begin to get easier now.  The physically hard part should be over soon if it is not already.  A word of wisdom, the spiritually and relationally hard part will probably remain throughout the fast.

The enemy does not want you to go the 40.  Temptations will arise.  Also, friends and family will inevitably find out and can be your greatest hindrance to completing the fast.  While trying to love and take care of you, they will pressure you that it is not healthy to fast, especially 40 days.

My encouragement for you today comes from –

Philippians 3:12-14 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Press on and Press In! Jesus Himself laid down his life that you may be completely saved, healed, and delivered. Can you continue to lay down your flesh for the rest of the 40 days?

There is a secret in the 40 day time period that I will share soon, but now you should recognize that Jesus set the example of the 40 before He began His ministry.  Press on and press in for the prize of Jesus Christ! Exponential increase will come as you press in past the normal way of life or even past the normal way of fasting.  Relationship increase and depth as well as spiritual insight will be continually advanced as we press in to Him.

Jesus is The Reward!!!

Jesus is Worth it!!!

Jesus is the Prize!!!

I also want to encourage you from –

Esther 4:16-17 “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” 17 So Mordecai went his way and did according to all that Esther commanded him.

Here, Esther calls a three day fast of all her people.  There were many fasting before this time if you read vs. 3, but this is an intentional time of fasting and praying together.

What was the result of this three day corporate fast?

The government of the day was influenced to overthrow a demonically inspired law and an entire people group were saved.  That is the power of the three day fast that we are now advancing past.

Nations and people groups will be changed as you press on and press in to Him.

What transformation can take place in you, your family, your neighborhood, city, and nation as a result of a simple 40 days of fasting and prayer?

Jesus, give me the strength and ability to press on through the struggles that I might press in to knowing Your heart.  I desire to see supposedly impossible things and people transformed as I press in to you!!!

Practical – Let Holy Spirit guide your Godly dreaming of what can take place through this 40 day fast.

The Great Sift for the Shift: The Call to Holiness

There is a great shaking in the Body of Christ taking place in this season. We are seeing many respected leaders falling away and leaving their faith, accusations of misconduct coming forth towards others, and many are in the throes of warfare and demonic opposition. In recent weeks the Lord has put a heaviness upon my heart and spirit towards His holiness; and I have felt extremely led to hide away in the secret place with Him. In the past few days He began to remind me of a number of dreams and words that He gave me drawing towards this shaking that is taking place. I did not understand much of it at the time, however He is beginning to open the eyes of my understanding to see and know what He is speaking and revealing.

In the coming days I will share some of these dreams and words as He leads. I truly believe that we are in a time where God is shaking His Church right-side up and that He is enacting a greater call and command into His holiness. While praying and dwelling on this, I heard Him say:

“There will come a great sift for the shift. Things cannot stay the same and remain as they were; for where I am going, anything that is unclean and unholy cannot enter through the door. The door is narrow and only that which reflects My holiness and glory can enter through it.
Do not be surprised at what you see in the days ahead as I continue the sifting and shaking. I am sifting out all of the junk, the dross that hinders My Bride from entering into true purity and reverence of My name and nature.
No longer can My Bride remain straddled upon an imaginary fence, enjoying the fleeting pleasures of this life while being double-minded and half-hearted. This really is an ALL IN OR NOT IN AT ALL kairos moment in time.
For behold, a door stands before those with eyes to see, ears to hear, and a holy heart of wisdom and understanding. My voice is beckoning them higher into the unseen realm, the realm where Righteousness dwells!
Where are they who would put away the pleasures of this life for that which cannot be taken away?! Where are they who would seek My face above all other earthly things?! Where are they who would be Living Light; manifestations of My holiness in the earth?!

img_6725.jpgMoses never got to feast on the fruits of the land long promised him, nor was he allowed to even set foot in it. He was only allowed to gaze upon it from a distance and had to watch a new generation be risen up to take possession of it.

How could it be that the man whom God had raised up to be a deliverer for His chosen people would never see the fullness of the deliverance?

How could it be that the man whom God refers to as His friend would be the greatest betrayer of his day?

How could it be that the one man whom God allowed into His glory time and time again, whose very face shone with the glory of God, and who met with God face to face, would be removed from that Presence at the end of his days?

God clearly reveals to us the answer in the following passages:

Numbers 20:6-13 (AMP)
Then Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the doorway of the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle) and fell on their faces [before the Lord in prayer]. Then the glory and brilliance of the Lord appeared to them; and the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
“Take the rod; and you and your brother Aaron assemble the congregation and speak to the rock in front of them, so that it will pour out its water. In this way you shall bring water for them out of the rock and let the congregation and their livestock drink [fresh water].”
So Moses took the rod from before the Lord, just as He had commanded him;  and Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly before the rock. Moses said to them, “Listen now, you rebels; must WE bring you water out of this rock?”
Then Moses raised his hand [in anger] and with his rod he struck the rock twice [instead of speaking to the rock as the Lord had commanded]. And the water poured out abundantly, and the congregation and their livestock drank [fresh water].
But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you have not believed (trusted) Me, to treat Me as holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, you therefore shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them. These are the waters of Meribah (contention, strife), where the sons of Israel contended with the Lord, and He showed Himself holy among them.

In Deuteronomy 32:49-52, the Lord told Moses to go upon a mountain and overlooking the Promised Land; but he would die and never enter it. In verse 51, God says, For both of you betrayed Me with the Israelites at the waters of Meribah at Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin. You failed to demonstrate My holiness to the people of Israel there.

When we fail to be a manifestation and demonstration of the holiness of God through our very existence, we have lost our fixation upon the ONE THING.

Things started out great; they went into the secret place and the Presence and Glory of God resonated in their midst. However, Moses lost sight of what God commanded, which was to declare to the rock the promise of living waters that were to come forth.

Moses became more fixated on man and emotions and allowed them to lead him into the grievous sin of attempting to touch God’s glory.

He struck the rock and yes, waters flowed forth; but he disobeyed God and he operated out of self-glory (must WE bring you water out of this rock?”). He performed a sign and wonder out of the anointing without the holiness and glory of God covering it. Therefore, God showed Himself holy among them through the act because Moses did not partner with Him in the miracle.

Sadly, because of that act, Moses’ promise was stripped from him and he was forced to gaze at a distance the Promised Land he gave his life for.

We see in 2 Corinthians 3:13 that Moses put a veil over his face to hide the diminishing glory.

If we take on the likeness of that which we behold, then the glory glow on Moses’ face was a direct reflection and manifestation of that which he beheld as he stood
FACE TO FACE with the HOLY GOD.
In Moses wearing a veil over his face, it was intended to hide the diminishing glory.
The betrayal God is talking about in the passages above includes that Moses failed to demonstrate His Holiness because he began to lose sight of FIXING HIS EYES ON THE HOLY GOD. Out of this failing, HE FELL INTO UNBELIEF.

DO NOT EVER LOSE SIGHT OF THE ONE MAIN THING!!!
FIX YOUR EYES OF JESUS!!!

In Leviticus 10:1-3, Nadab and Abihu disobeyed the Lord by burning before Him the wrong kind of fire, different than He had commanded.” Their disobedience and lack of reverence for what is holy cost them their lives as the fire of God burned them up. Moses told Aaron, “This is what the Lord meant when He said, ‘I will display My holiness through those who come near Me. I will display My glory before all the people.’

We will all face the Holy Fire of God. We will either pass through it and everything unholy will be burned out of us and off of us that we may emerge reflecting the brilliance of His holiness…or we will be consumed by it and lose our place and promise.

We have this great promise and encouragement as we press into the pressing and the forge:
2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (NLT)
But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedomSo all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image.

May this be our prayer: “Oh, Holy Lord! Put us in the forge that we may emerge a holy being sanctified and glorified in You! Burn out and off of us anything that would make us an unworthy vessel for Your Presence to dwell in and flow through…at any cost!!! May we not offer up to You strange fire! May we decrease that You may be fully and wholly increased in us and through us all of our days!!!”
