Advance 22/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

Well done!  We are now past the halfway mark, past Daniel’s precedent of 21 days, and beginning week 4 of The 40.  Do not waver! Do not falter! Press into Jesus, and be propelled into the next level with Him!!

This morning, I felt The Lord highlight one word, “Advance“.  This word means a lot to me for different reasons, but one of the reasons is this is an official military term, in my mind at least.  As we move forward into uncharted territory, God is leading and guiding.  He has gone before us to direct us in the right way we should go (John 10:4). Yesterday, the focus was on Touching The Kingdom, and the seeking of direction and revelation through humility, hunger, repentance, prayer, and fasting.  This should be our way of life until we receive our orders.   Then, we must “Advance” into all God has for us.

Even understanding a proper definition of advance gives us a clue into what God is speaking to us today.

Advance:

  • Move forward in a purposeful way (Help us all to move forward with Your plans and in Your purposes Lord!)
  • Accelerate growth or progress of (We desire to progress and grow in You, Lord)
  • Raise to a higher rank (Thank you for raising us up to higher ranks in The Kingdom as we faithfully carry out our assignments at the level we are now.)
  • To lift up (Lift us up into heavenly realms with You)
  • Bring forward in time (Bring us all forward in time that we may be mature believers on mission with You!)
  • My personal definition would be the effective assisting in hastening a process or bringing about a desired end.  May we all be advanced in our own lives, and be used to advance The Kingdom of God today!

In the Word, we can see this happening throughout the entire Bible, but we will focus on what is taking place in Acts 13.  The setting of this passage is the rapid growth of the church.  If you remember, they were first called Christians at Antioch, literally meaning “little Christ”.  The gospel is being proclaimed, and persecution has taken the life of James the apostle.  This was the first of the apostles to be martyred.  Peter was set to be killed as well, but through constant prayer, God miraculously delivers Him.  This is where we pick up in our reading.

The church is at a pivotal point in history. They must come to a decision if the persecution and death is too much and they should calm down in what they are doing, or if they should continue to advance The Kingdom in spite of all this.

Acts 13:1-2 Now in the church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

The response of the early church to the persecution and death of James and near martyrdom of Peter is to gather together and minister to The Lord.

How was this done? In Acts 2:42, 47 and 6:4 we find some clues: continue steadfastly in apostles doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread, prayer, praising God, and ministry of The Word.  In this passage we see, they also fasted.  Fellowship, worship, prayer, and fasting are literally ministry to The Lord. As they ministered to The Lord, Holy Spirit revealed what they were to do next.

It is interesting, they did not have a vision-casting meeting. They did not form a committee to talk about business. They did not try to figure out the most logical business model to follow. They gathered the leaders to worship, prayer, and fasting.  It is a sad fact that in many churches today, call a church business meeting and everyone shows up, but call a church prayer meeting more crickets show up than people.  However, if you call a prayer meeting without food and call a people to fast, this is like what happened in the early church. Only hungry people allowed.  This is where Holy Spirit brought revelation of what was to happen next.

When Holy Spirit released this revelation, they did not end the meeting and say lets get to work. Why? Because this was not the point of the meeting.  They were there to worship God with everything they had to give.  As a result, when they received revelation this is what they did:

Vs. 3 Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.

They continued in worship, prayer, and thanksgiving. What Holy Spirit revealed in a time of worship, prayer, and fasting was commissioned and sent out by worship, prayer, and fasting.  The focus was ministering to God and the commissioning and sending out of Barnabas and Saul for the advancement of The Kingdom was part of this ministering to God.  No man or even church was glorified in the sending out of these men.

Verse 4 begins with “So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit…”  There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that this was a work of Holy Spirit for the advance of The Kingdom.  This is before Saul had prove himself to the church.  He is still in the care of Barnabas and there is probably still those who do not fully trust him.  That did not matter when Holy Spirit had set him apart to send him out. In the very next chapter Saul is violently persecuted and stoned. The strength knowing Holy Spirit had called him and sent him out enabled him to return to the very cities that this took place.

My encouragement for us today is that as we gather together daily to worship, pray, and fast, whether together in body or spirit, Holy Spirit will bring wisdom, understanding, and revelation that only comes from Him.  As He does, may we all be strengthened with might to advance The Kingdom and walk in what He has called us to.  Nothing can hold you back from advancing to the next level with Him if you are living and walking as His partner.

    Practical –

    • Ask for revelation of how you can minister to God today
    • As you minister to Him, seek wisdom, revelation, and understanding that only comes from Him
    • As He reveals, ask for the strength and ability to obey
    • Continue in Worship and ministry to Him
    • Obey all He directs you to do

Be blessed with the ability to truly advance The Kingdom in partnership with Holy Spirit. May you receive wisdom, understanding, revelation and might as you minister to Holy Spirit.  May this propel you to the next level with Him!

    Treasuring The Word 13/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

As we near the end of the second week, I want to encourage you to continue to return to The Lord for strength and life.  Some may have incredible will power, but the point of fasting and prayer is to humble yourself and say, “God, I need You!”  I would not have been able to make it this far without supernatural strength.

Here is another encouragement from Jesus’ words:

Matthew 5:3 Blessed [spiritually prosperous, happy, to be admired] are the poor in spirit [those devoid of spiritual arrogance, those who regard themselves as insignificant], for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever].

Those of us who realize our need for God are blessed and will be spiritually prosperous because we know it is His work in us and not the work of our hands.  Continue to trust in the grace and mercy of a loving God, and look to Him for all that you need.

As we continue to press in to The Lord and seek Him, we come to a realization.  Most of the time, food becomes built up in our lives as an idol, in the very least as a great treasure.  It is what we think about.  It is what we talk about.  It is what we build our gatherings around.  “Which restaurant do you want to go to?”, “What is for dinner?“,  and “What are we going to do for food?” are common questions, especially in the American society.

Our culture is built around the value of food, and often our waistlines reflect it.  You probably find this out more when you are fasting than any other time.  It is almost necessary to become a recluse because family time, hospitality, and all social gatherings are food-centered.  When this comfort is taken away, it can be hard to figure out what to do, for the one fasting and for those around them.  If you are not eating, for whatever reason, often your own family does not even know how to treat you.

In Matthew 4, Jesus elects to go The 40 to strengthen Himself spiritually to stand up against the temptation of the enemy.  What does the enemy tempt Jesus with first?  Food!  Here is Jesus’ answer quoting from the scriptures:

Matthew 4:4, Deuteronomy 8:3 “It is written,‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”

Food is necessary and important for the body to live, but Jesus puts His focus on what really matters, treasuring the Word of God.  Even though your body may be sustained physically, you can still become sick and even die of a broken heart or spirit.  However, The Word of God brings life to you that you cannot get any other way.  Your value has to be on what really matters.

As we are fasting, I pray that even though the comfort of food has been taken away, you replace it with the life giving Word of God.  When we read The Bible and seek Him in prayer for a personal word, this is what will sustain us through every situation in our lives.  If you have not already, I encourage you to set aside some extra time to read The Bible and pray, especially while you fast.  This will help you not only grow spiritually, but sustain you during The 40.

Someone else who knew the importance of the word is someone we know for going through some of the most difficult trials anyone has ever had to face, Job.  In the middle of his difficult situation where everything is taken away and even his wife and friends are turning against him, this is what He says:

Job 23:12 I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth More than my necessary food.

Everything that God has to say is vitally important.  Job says it should be treasured more than the food that is necessary to survive.  In his situation, he did not need food.  Food could not help him out of his grief and loss.  It could do nothing for Him.  However, he was hoping, clinging, and longing for The word from the mouth of God.  Life comes from Him!  Hope comes from Him!  Strength comes from Him!  As we seek The Lord, we must have ears to hear His word.  When we hear His word, we must be obedient to receive the true blessings He wants to pour out upon us.

Jesus, help me to truly treasure the words of your mouth more than anything in my life.  Open my ears to hear You.  Open my heart to obey You.  I want to base my life upon Your life-giving, life-sustaining word spoken to Me.

    Practical –

    • Commit 15 – 30 mins extra time to spend seeking The Lord each day.
    • Read The Bible, 1-5 chapters a day
    • Ask Holy Spirit to open your ears and help you to truly value The Word

Be blessed with eyes to see the face of God, ears to hear new revelations of His glory, and a heart to be truly transformed by His presence!  May this propel you to the next level in Him!

    Jeremiah, Man on Fire!!!

From Smoke Screens to Birthing Things

While in an intense season of prayer and fasting in this last year, the Lord brought me into a time of great revelation-knowledge day in and day out. It was in that time that He spoke the following word to me and He has now released me to share it. This is what I heard Him say:

“The labor has been long and hard. The coming birth is long OVERDUE! The baby has grown so large that it will take one hard push to be cast forth. BEAR DOWN! The enemy has seen the size of the promise and has tried to snuff out its life every step of the way…Clouds of heaviness, complacency in spirit, fear rumbling as he speaks death.

My Holy Spirit will be your midwife to guide you through the final pushes. YOU ARE ON THE CUSP OF DELIVERY! The Ring of Fire has been all around you, the intense waves of burning and opposition coming against you. But I declare to you: TRANSITION IS HERE AND YOUR BULGING WATERS ARE BURSTING, THAT YOU MAY GIVE YOUR FINAL PUSHES.

As you enter into the final phase, DO NOT GIVE UP, DO NOT LOSE HEART OR YOUR FOCUS FOR THE OVERFLOW IS JUST ON THE OTHER SIDE OF YOUR EFFORTS FOR MY KINGDOM!

Yes, give your final pushes and BE AMAZED at how I EKBALLO My Revival, My Outpouring, My Promise!

Do you hear it?! Do you hear the sound of My babe coming forth?! Do you hear the roar from the lungs of a nation receiving the Light of Life? Everything I do is great! EVERYTHING I FORM AND FASHION TOGETHER IS BIGGER THAN YOU THINK!

BEHOLD! I have set up and established a treasure trove of fruit from the promises I implanted in your heart. Now they have taken root, grown, developed, and are manifested before your very eyes! Reach forth and take hold of your special treasure, My Beloved!”

As we begin our transition into the Hebraic New Year, 5780 at the end of September, I believe that we are entering into a season of birthing the promises of God that have long been cultivated and become deep-seeded in the hearts of His Bride. I believe the Lord is saying in this crucial transition hour:

“The past seasons and years even, for many it seemed as if the promise would never come to fruition. Some even began to doubt the word spoken to them and if they had heard correctly or if they had missed a step along the way. The witchcraft and bombardment of the enemy of your souls had caused all focus to be lost in the thick cloud of the fallout. The heavy warfare and opposition had left many feeling disoriented and caused the focus of many to become askew and out of focus, lacking clarity. This co-ordinated attack was intended to stall the delivery and to allow for time to suffocate the promise in the middle of the birthing.

I say to you…It is time to SHAKE OFF THE DUST of the past season and to rise up and discern the hour that quickly encroaches!

Do you not perceive it? Do you not feel it? The rumbling and groaning arising even now for the fulfillment of the seeds of promise?

DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO BECOME LOST in the shroud of foreboding of the unknown that the enemy is attempting to use as a smoke screen to distract you from the seedbed of Revival sprouting up RIGHT NOW before you!

DO NOT FORGET WHAT I PUT IN YOU AND SPOKE TO YOU! IT WILL NOT BE LONG NOW UNTIL YOU BIRTH THE VERY THING IN WHICH I IMPLANTED IN YOU!

You thought it was far off or that the promise had died in the darkness of the womb; but I have been weaving things together which you have not seen nor perceived! Where it seemed as if all was lost, I was there creating something beautiful and intricate from nothing. My hands were there fashioning a thing too beautiful for words and NOW My Spirit has come to breathe the Breath of Life into the masterpiece I have designed.

You didn’t even know you were still pregnant with a living thing, and SUDDENLY IT MAKES ITS APPEARANCE!

I say to you…FIX YOUR GAZE UPON MY FACE! FIX YOUR GAZE UPON MY EYES OF LOVE AND MIMIC MY BREATHS AS I GUIDE YOU AND LEAD YOU THROUGH THE BIRTHING. STAY FOCUSED ON ME AND LET ALL OTHER THINGS FADE AWAY…REST IN ME AND MY LOVE AND WITHOUT ANY EFFORT OF YOUR OWN, YOU WILL FIND THAT IT IS IN THE REST THAT THE BIRTHING COMES!”

    Isaiah 55:10-11 (TPT)
“As the snow and rain that fall from Heaven do not return until they have accomplished their purpose, soaking the earth and causing it to sprout with new life, providing seed to sow and bread to eat. So also will be the word that I speak; it does not return to Me unfulfilled. My word performs My purpose and fulfills the mission I sent it out to accomplish.”

    Habakkuk 2:1-3 (AMP)
“I will stand at my guard post and station myself on the tower; and I will keep watch to see what He will say to me, and what answer I will give [as His spokesman] when I am reproved. Then the Lord answered me and said, ‘Write the vision and engrave it plainly on [clay] tablets so that the one who reads it will run. For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time it hurries toward the goal [of fulfillment]; it will not fail. Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it, because it will certainly come; it will not delay.'”

    Isaiah 54:1-3 (NLT)
“‘Sing, O childless woman, you who have never given birth! Break into loud and joyful song, O Jerusalem, you who have never been in labor. For the desolate woman now has more children than the woman who lives with her husband,’ says the Lord. ‘Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense! For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities.'”

    Awakening is Breaking Forth!

In the past few weeks since returning home after The Send, I have encountered extreme warfare that I believe has been rolling across many in the Body of Christ in this hour of transition into the new era. Being truly lit on fire during my time there, I immediately recognized a slumbering spirit partnered with a spirit of disillusionment and disorientation rising up in opposition. I returned with a fresh commission and suddenly it became extremely difficult and took great pressing to connect into the dream stream with the Lord and to see and hear clearly.
I get up rather early in the morning to seek Him and found that every morning a slumbering spirit kept attacking me; so overwhelmingly strong was its attempts. I have spent the past few weeks battling and warring against it, with much frustration I must admit. I can attest that yesterday morning I broke through. I was in the middle of reading Isaiah 46 and struggling to stay focused. When I got to verse 13 and read it, immediately it was as if something snapped that I could even hear in the spirit; and I came out of it right then and was completely awake and aware.

    Isaiah 46:13 (TPT)
“I am bringing My righteousness closer to you; it is not far off. My deliverance will not be delayed, for I will set My salvation in Zion for Israel My glory!”

    Isaiah 46:13 (NLT)
“For I am ready to set things right, not in the distant future, but right now! I am ready to save Jerusalem and show My glory to Israel.”

I knew without a doubt that what took place resonated across time and space, representing what He is releasing throughout the nations; signifying the moment of season’s change. Where I had been warring to hear and see through the fog stationed before me, suddenly I perceived with undimmed eyes and heard with unclogged ears. He told me to go back a chapter to Isaiah 45 and to remember a verse from it that I shared in two posts, Salvation Through a Babe and 2019: It’s All About Righteousness, a few months ago; to remember what He declared then.

    Isaiah 45:8 (TPT)
“Shower down righteousness, O heavens above. Let the clouds drip with deliverance! Let earth’s womb open and bear salvation’s fruit, with righteousness rising up beside it! I, Yahweh, have created them all!”

As I read the verse, I was overcome with joyful expectation and a greater understanding of a word He has been speaking to Jeremiah and I this year, “A storm is coming!” It is then that I heard Him say:

    America, your days are numbered.
Numbered are the days in which you will remain in your current condition. Numbered are the days in which the hand of the enemy has played you and delayed you from entering into your spring season. Where there was once a dried up winter laden with a bitter freeze and cold; the warmth of the Son’s rays are stretching forth to melt away the dead of winter. To your astonishment, you will find that as the snow and ice melts away, life is exposed and unearthed beneath the blanket of slumbering. The bondage you have known for far too long as an arctic winter will keep you in darkness no longer.

Look out upon the horizon and see the sun breaking forth! Look out and see the new life shooting up from the nourished soil. I take the things once dried up and frozen in darkness and I breathe new life in the change of season.

I have seen and heard the hunger and prayers offered up as incense before My Throne and the bowls have tipped, running over! Behold, I have watched as the tear-stained prayers and petitions and the rumbling growls of the hungry have crept and swept across My Throne! They have washed My feet as an offering of praise.

Truly I tell you, just as I brought eternal honor to My servant, Mary for her pure devotion and adoration; so will I honor and bring an eternal remembrance to the fresh offering being given in this hour. The sacrifice has been and will forever be worth it!

I say to you, DO NOT RELENT IN YOUR PURSUIT for just as the offering has been spilled out before and upon My feet; you will see it turn into a steady stream flowing from My Throne to the floodgates. They will burst open at the force of the stream crashing into them and you will see them returned back to you in storm clouds bringing the abundance of rain!

DO YOU HEAR THE TRICKLE NOW? DO YOU PERCEIVE IT? CHANGE IS IN THE AIR!

The more that you seek My face in the secret place, the greater the outpouring of Heaven! Gaze out upon your land and prophesy that which I have spoken. Declare the increase of LIFE that I have shown you. DO NOT BE SILENT, but allow your awakened state to call forth the awakening and the ascension! Look out and see RIGHTEOUSNESS RISING! RIGHTEOUSNESS IS COMING! I am ready to make My goodness pass before you! I will cast My Glory upon you!

    Almond_tree,_snow.

An almond tree is the first tree to awaken with Spring’s arrival. Almond means “awake.”

All this past weekend I kept seeing 111 and 1111 literally everywhere I turned, way more than normal. Those numbers are symbolic of transition and awakening. I even saw an almond tree signifying awakening and season’s change, among other things, like in Jeremiah 1. I knew that something was coming forth in the spirit then and that a breaker was being released. He spoke when the lights switched on yesterday morning, “I am coming forth to complete what I began!”

    Jeremiah 1:11-12 (AMP)
“The word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘Jeremiah, what do you see?’ And I said, ‘I see the branch of an almond tree.’ Then the Lord said to me, ‘You have seen well, for I am [actively] watching over My word to fulfill it.'”

It is no coincidence either that a change in seasons in the natural with the start of Spring tomorrow is occurring in this moment of time. All of creation is responding to the shift taking place!

    Song of Solomon 2:10-13 (TPT)
“The one I love calls to me:
Arise, My dearest. Hurry, My darling. Come away with Me! I have come as you have asked to draw you to My heart and lead you out. For NOW IS THE TIME, My beautiful one. THE SEASON HAS CHANGED, THE BONDAGE OF YOUR BARREN WINTER HAS ENDED, and the season of hiding is over and gone. THE RAINS HAVE SOAKED THE EARTH and left it bright with blossoming flowers. The season for singing and pruning the vines has arrived. I hear the cooing of doves in our land, FILLING THE AIR WITH SONGS TO AWAKEN YOU AND GUIDE YOU FORTH.
CAN YOU NOT DISCERN THIS NEW DAY OF DESTINY BREAKING FORTH AROUND YOU?
THE EARLY SIGNS OF MY PURPOSES AND PLANS ARE BURSTING FORTH. THE BUDDING VINES OF NEW LIFE ARE NOW BLOOMING EVERYWHERE.
The fragrance of their flowers whispers, ‘THERE IS CHANGE IN THE AIR.’
ARISE, My love, My beautiful companion, and RUN WITH ME TO THE HIGHER PLACE. For NOW IS THE TIME TO ARISE AND COME AWAY WITH ME.”

Today marks day 50 of the 50 Days of Prayer for Life and the ending of abortion, that I have been a part of. Last night was also the premiere of the new film, Unplanned, a true story about Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood director’s dramatic transformation to loving God and exposing the spirit of abortion. We will also be hitting the halfway point in our 40-day Jesus Fast tomorrow, the day of Spring equinox. California is experiencing a Super Bloom of wildflowers after the fires swept through the state last year.

I truly believe that the Word of the Lord above is in response to the prayers, petitions, and fasting taking place globally for an ending of abortion and Ekballo, a resurgence of Life, an emergence of awakened Burning Ones, and a commission of laborers into the Harvest. In pondering on His word that He has heard the rumbling growls of the hungry and of the increase in 111 awakening signs, He spoke through my mouth, Ecclesiastes 11:1.

    Ecclesiastes 11:1 (AMP)
“Cast your bread on the surface of the waters, [be diligently active, make thoughtful decisions], for you will find it after many days.”

Beloved, NOW is the hour in which the sacrifices and offerings of praise are being returned to us. NOW we will see the first fruits of love and obedience! I have shared on these things for the past year; but I feel such a strong pull in the spirit to surge through and charge forth! DO NOT RELENT OR GIVE IN, FOR WE ARE NOT THOSE WHO DRAW BACK IN FEAR UNTO DEATH! WE ARE THOSE WHO PRESS IN AND PRESS FORWARD TO THE FULL SALVATION, HEALING, AND DELIVERANCE OF THE SOUL!!!

THE BREAKER IS HERE! DO YOU NOT PERCEIVE IT?

SEASON’S CHANGE. WINTER IS OVER. THE RAINS OF HEAVEN ARE HERE. LIFE IS BURSTING FORTH EVERYWHERE. IT’S TIME TO AWAKEN, ARISE, AND ASCEND!!!

    The Gift of Giving

    Giving.

    Giving.

It has been more than three weeks since we have posted and much longer since I personally have posted.  Many people have probably ceased reading these posts since we are no longer traveling from country to country doing the Lord’s work as He opens the doors.  Before I begin talking about giving, I want to first reflect on who really needs Jesus?  Does the poor Cambodian girl living in the trash dump need Jesus more than the middle class American business man that spends more time working than with his family so he can get provide for them the necessities and all the extras (cars, boats, bigger houses, better clothes…)?

This time of the year, it seems that we are consumed with the extras, the things we do not really need.  Black Friday is a tribute to this focus with too many people fighting over saving some money on the things that are not really needed.  People die so that somebody’s son, daughter, brother, sister can get the extra they wanted but did not really need.  Now, a few days after Christmas, no one is really happier and the extras are on the floor.  Many people are ready to get away from their families because they are annoyed and have frustrations with them.  Soon, they will return home and 90% of these extras will sit on a shelf, in a drawer, or in storage gathering dust.  Who really needs Jesus more?  We Americans who have it all and the extras or the those who have nothing but will give you whatever they have willingly?

    Black Friday madness.

    Black Friday madness.

As I was reading this week, it is interesting that God had me reading in 2 Corinthians chapters 8-9 the day after Christmas.  These two chapters are talking all about giving, and I encourage you to read and meditate on them.  Here, Paul speaks about a church that promised to give beyond their ability out of a generous heart.  He describes this gift as the fellowship of ministering to the saints.  He then goes on to say that even as they abound in important things (faith, knowledge, love), they should increase in the grace of giving just the same.  Is the act of increasing in knowledge, faith, and love more important than increasing in giving???

In Vs. 15 of chapter 8, Paul uses a verse that was originally used about manna in Exodus to talk about giving.  “He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.”  As I was reading this, I got revelation of a couple things.  First, God gives us the things we need to go throughout our day.  Both in the physical and in the spiritual.  Not that revelatory, but worth mentioning.  Second, some of the things He gives me are actually to help someone else make it through their day.  If I have an abundance, and someone else has need, what I have is for them.  What does it profit me to hoard that thing and save it for a rainy day or something I might need in the future if my brother is in need?  The manna in Exodus rotted, and I do not want what God has given to rot, so I should be intentional about giving away what I do not need both in the physical and in the spiritual.

Finally, in Vs. 7-10 of chapter 9, it seems to me that Paul is saying that if we give with a joyful spirit, then God is able to make His grace increase toward us.  We must have our giving with a right heart in order before we overflow with grace and abundance for every good work.  Also, he talks about God giving us seed and bread, and how He multiplies the seed that has been sown to increase the fruits of righteousness.  It does not say He multiplies the bread, but the seed.  He does not multiply all the seed, but the seed that is sown and that is how the fruit of righteousness is increased in our lives.  I would much rather have abundant fruit than just a little bit of seed and bread.

    Poverty in Cambodia.

    Poverty in Cambodia.

I want to return to the question I asked, who needs Jesus more?  The answer is that both the poorest of the poor living in the trash dump and the middle class American that has the extras need Jesus.  I could even argue that we as Americans have a greater need for Him because we can look to ourselves to work for and provide what we need.  Some people, no matter how hard they work, will never have what they need.  These people have to trust in something or Someone outside of themselves to get them through.  I encourage you to meditate on chapters 8-9 in 2 Corinthians and discover the gift of giving that God has given us.  It is not only for them, but it is for us.  What is the proof of our faith and love?  What is pure religion (James 1:27)?  What do we have that others need?  What has God given you for others that you have decided to hoard up for yourself?  What is rotting in your storehouse that is meant for others?  Joyously, give out what God has given you to give so that abundant fruit of righteousness may come to you and all the blessings that go along with it!!!

    Jeremiah, Man on Fire!!!

    The Multiplication of Thanksgiving

Well, plans are ever changing here.  The Indian culture is a culture of change, and this becomes more evident every day.  We will be leaving tomorrow for Dharamapuri instead of today.  Knowing that we might not have an opportunity to use internet again for a while, I wanted to share what happened this weekend.

Friday, we got the privilege to go and preach at a small Fasting-Prayer gathering once again, and God supernaturally changed what I was going to preach and gave me a brand new word that combined the Parable of the Sower with John 15. This was a very powerful word that touched the people there greatly, and I know it was from the Lord, because I can hardly remember what I even spoke about.

Saturday, we went with Pastor Binny once again to a girls college in Kolar where they were having a Thanksgiving meeting.  It is the end of the year and everyone has taken their exams and are getting ready to head home for their summer break.  They had gathered to thank the Lord and give testimony about everything God had done this school year.  It was amazing to hear the testimonies about how God had raised up a prayer community in the group and by the end of the school year everyone was a part of it.  There was testimonies of divine healings, provision, and so much more.  Katie got the opportunity to share about the ministry and journey that God is taking us on and even had some spontaneous preaching.

    Jeremiah preaching to college

Later, I was given the chance to speak about giving thanks.  Pastor Binny told me on the way that I was to share about this topic.  I spent the hour on the way to the college asking the Lord what He would have me share about giving thanks.  God brought to mind a passage of scripture and gave me some important revelation about thanking Him. This is what I want to share with you.

Most of us are familiar with the passage of the feeding of the five thousand found in the gospels.  In John 6:1-13, Jesus sees that need of the people and is more than willing to respond.  However, He wants to partner with the Apostles in meeting this need.  All the Apostles see is an unsolvable problem and such a small portion of food that they see no way that they can bring resolution to this problem.  “Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them… and likewise the fish, as much as they wanted”(John 6:11) and there were 12 baskets left over.  Five thousand men, as well as women and children, benefited from the blessing of thankfulness.

    Jesus feeding 5,000

In our world, it is so easy to see the needs and the problems.  We are overwhelmed by these things in our daily news and it seem impossible for us to do anything to change it.  How can we end abortion, stop sex trafficking, stop wars, bring governmental reform, feed the hungry, end sickness…?  When we think of the the problems, we are placing our eyes on ourselves and our circumstances.  What can I do?  However, when we bring the smallest ability and blessing to the Lord and give thanks for it, He cannot help but multiply it!!! Thanking God takes our eyes off of ourselves and our problems, and places them upon Him.  When our eyes are on Him, we begin to see things from the heavenly perspective and the impossible things become the reality that God intended them to be!!!  It is by giving thanks to God in the small and great, that the gates of heaven are opened to pour out even more blessings of abundance upon us.  God will always multiply what we have if we thank Him for it!  It comes from Him and is for His glory, and when we recognize this, He will give us more!!!

How have you been thankful to the Lord?

Are you thanking Him for the smallest of blessings?

Are you giving him thanks and glory or are you taking it for yourself?

Ask Holy Spirit to reveal all the blessing of the Lord in your life.  As you recognize these things, give Him thanks.  In the giving of thanks, the blessings we have are revealed because our focus is changed.  Our focus is no longer selfish and on us, but we focus on the person of Jesus and all He has done.  Unthankfulness is selfishness.  In any area where you have been selfish and focused on your own problems in unthankfulness, ask for forgiveness.  Ask Holy Spirit to change your focus to one of a thankful heart.  Ask Him to help you to be thankful in all things.  His blessings will flow more freely as thankfulness is released in your heart!!!  I bless you with a thankful heart that brings forth an abundance of blessing in order that God may receive all the glory!!!
