Expect the Unexpected (Southeast Asia)

Headhunter warriors

Headhunter warriors give their lives to Jesus!!!

Often, our expectations, true or false, will determine our reality. All of us have expectations of the way things will be especially when outside of our routine. Often, I will tell my wife to expect the unexpected; but today, God decided to remind me of this and shatter some of my false expectations.

Many things have already happened on this trip that were better than I had expected. We were told there would be no AC and I did not expect hot water… Hence the way I started out the last post (I just did not know how to work it right). Surprisingly, we have both. I am thankful for them, but God knew they were not necessary for me.

Another thing I did not expect was the opportunity to try some new foods. Both dog and bat were served at a service I went to. Everything was so spicy that through the sweating, tears, and raging fire in my mouth, I could not taste much. I have decided that I do not like bat though because there are way too many bones and not enough meat.  Somehow, I survived.

But really, none of that really matters. What would take place after this service is beyond what I ever expected. Originally, the team I am with had prepared the way by speaking to the pastors and having them prepare homes to visit where the lost would get saved.  The Pastor I was with was not there so he did not receive these instructions. Instead, he decided for us to go out witnessing on the street. When I found this out, I immediately began praying for strength and ability. Those of you who know me could easily surmise I do not have the gift of evangelism, and mass evangelism in public is rather intimidating to me.  I had to give the situation to God and ask Him to give me grace to do something that was entirely outside my comfort zone and expectations.  I am sure I will have to do the same thing tomorrow.

All the way from the service to the first place we would go out, I was praying silently and feverishly. God gave me grace in an excited couple that gathered the people into groups and then had me come over and share. This made it a little easier, but not really more comfortable.  The picture above was the first group they had me come share with.  The intimidation factor is way up there when four people in full headhunting warrior dress are standing there with swords and skulls hanging from their waists looking at you.  God gave me the grace to go all in and all of those red warriors and a few other people around got saved.  We ended up sharing for around an hour and 19 people, that I know of, prayed to become born again.  This was far more than I expected as uncomfortable as I was going in. I praise God for His grace, strength, and boldness to share.

So, what about you? What expectations do you have that need to be broken down? The enemy will always try to put false expectations on you to hold you back from the fullness that God has. What comforts do you need to release? What fears need to be broken? What expectations need to change to come into line with what God wants? Only He can change your wrong mindsets. But, you have to be willing to step out of the boat!!! If I had said no for any reason, I would not have seen these souls enter the Kingdom. If Peter had said no, he never would have gotten out of the boat. Yes, you may fall, but Jesus will be right there with you to save you and put you back on your feet.

I invite you to ask God right now, to change your expectations to expect what was once unexpected to you. My God “is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that I ask for hope for or imagine through His power working in me.” I pray that you allow that same power to work through you as you follow and obey Him!!!

Matthew 14:28-31 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Daily Encouragement –

Are you a good person? Do you do good things? Are you clean and pure? Are you able to stand strong?

Only I am truly good and strong! Without Me, no one can be either. All others fall short. Come to Me! Come to the fountain of life! Come and wash! Come and be cleansed by the very blood of Jesus!

All the “great” things you do are worth nothing if your heart is dirty or impure. Only I can make you righteous! Even after you have washed and made yourself clean, you must walk away from the evil and come to Me. Learn from Me to do good. Let me fill you with strength and boldness to walk unswervingly in The Kingdom. Fight with Me to build The Kingdom and never turn aside to things of this world.

Come with Me to the battle for all mankind. No spectators or bystanders are allowed! It is time to be the warrior for My Kingdom I have called you to be! Come with Me! I love you My child!!!

Isaiah 1:16-17 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil; Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.”

100% Both and More!!!

Daily Encouragement –

You must become like Me!!! As you really come to know Me, you will be changed into My image. The more you are changed into My image, the more you will be able to truly know Me and become like Me!

I am a God of grace and truth, peace and boldness, power and love, spirit and life!!! Many times, you focus too much on My grace and forget the truth, or you overemphasize My truth and leave out My grace. Focusing on one without the other leads to deception, false thinking and wrong actions.

I am 100% grace, 100% truth and so much more!!! You must walk deeper with Me and know who I am so you become like Me. You are My light to this world! Shine brightly and truly, My light, for all to see!!!

Come close to Me!!! Know Me!!! And walk in line with My character as I walked in this world. I love you My child!!!

John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Privilege of Personal Revival

Daily Encouragement –

My child, your hunger will always be rewarded. You are getting more hungry and more thirsty even as I pour out more of My Spirit upon you. My presence is coming in a greater way than you have ever seen because you have continued pressing in to Me.

It is your privilege and inheritance to press in and have a personal revival with Me every single day. Your personal awakening will cause others to see and desire more of Me than ever before. Corporate revival over churches, cities, and nations start with your own personal revival every single day

It is your right and responsibility to press in and receive this outpouring of My Spirit every day, then go out and speak the Truth with boldness! I am with you giving the strength and Spirit to do it. Come close to Me and watch as you bring revival to the world!!! I love you My child!!!

Haggai 2:5-9 “… According to the word that I covenanted with you… so My Spirit remains among you; do not fear!’… ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory…”

God’s Call To All

There is a vision coming into reality as I submerse myself into the presence of God among fellow laid-down lovers that strikes me to the core of my being.  The call of God is so strong on His children, the message of His heart is greater than we can dream up ourselves.  When you finally realize that the impossible is made possible only with God, you begin to see with His eyes and you no longer require a process of how to carry out the dream of His heart.  Risk no longer requires guarantees, radicalness sets its seal upon you, and faith gains raw determination to agree with His plans, His heart and says that no matter what, there is no turning back.

Now, you may be wondering what this call is, what the core of God’s heart is.  The answer is as simple as this, God wants to be reconciled to His children.  He wants not just a person, not just a city, not even just a country.  But God wants every nation on earth, every person on earth.  The how is just as simple.  He wants you to be a part of bringing His Kingdom to earth.  You have a part in this movement.  You have a voice.  You have a call.  You are called to be a soul winner!

What if every child of God stepped out of the lies of the enemy of unbelief, fear, insignificance, pride, false humility, unreal expectations, self-analysis, doubt, worry, the unknown and any other inhibitor that prevents us from sharing the Gospel unashamedly, with boldness.  What if every child of God turned from these things and agreed with God in humility that the call that has been placed over us is bigger than we can fathom, is greater than it seems, is impossible…except with God.  Amy Sollars, a mighty laid-down lover of Jesus says it like this, “The enemy’s greatest fear is that we will realize who God has made us to be and we will walk in it.”  If every child of God recognized that they are someone valuable in bringing Heaven to earth, remained confident in God’s love, and stepped out in radical faith and courage of seeing nations come to God in a day, then it really can and will happen!

One huge thing that I am learning here at the School of Circuit Riders Norway is this: God desires your heart of courageous faith to boldly go where many bold leaders have gone before you.  Jesus was a risk-taker.  His disciples were risk-takers.  Those that came after them were risk-takers.  But they were united with one heart and one purpose and that purpose is this…to count the cost and lay it all down for the sake of the world, determination to say that one soul isn’t enough.  To be all in just as these forerunners were.

I leave you with this: Have you asked God lately to show you who He made you to be?  Have you had dreams and visions of things that are impossible in your own power?  If not, I encourage you to ask God today to reveal the impossible to you and I assure you, He will make it possible.  You have a specific role in the Kingdom.  Be bold.  Be courageous.  Be who He made you to be and go for the gold…souls!  You are called to be a nationshaking generation!  If not now, when? If not us, who?  Esther 4:14 says, “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this?”

Be blessed,

Katie, Pure Fire of Yahweh!!!
