Precipitating The Latter Rain 11/40

You are invited to join us for The Propel Fast! Please review Propelled To The Next Level and other words for the reasons behind the fast as well as daily encouragement!

It is time once again to examine our reasons to commit to The 40.  We must constantly refresh the reason behind the fast or we will be drawn away by the enticements of the world to what may seem better.

Why have you committed to press in to The Lord through fasting?

Whatever your reason may be for going into this fast, today, I want to give you another one. Fasting precipitates the Latter Rain.  The former generation experienced what they refer to as the Latter Rain and there have been many prophecies about the former and latter rain coming together in these days ahead using the passage Joel 2:23.  Though this is the passage used by so many about the coming releasing of The Spirit in a mighty way, few know the context in Joel during this time.  Another passage of scriptures you may know well is Joel 2:28-32.

Joel 2:28-29 “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions. 29 And also on My menservants and  on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

This may be one of the most referred to passages in the charismatic church especially since it is referenced by Peter in Acts 2:17-21 when the Holy Spirit comes upon the disciples in such a powerful way.  Again, it seems that no one knows the context of what is happening in the book of Joel preceding this.  We often overlook “minor” details that can lead us to a true revelation to how God wants to bring about what He has promised conditionally.  It is especially important to view the context because this passage starts with, me paraphrasing, these things will take place after something else happens.

If you read the book of Joel, this is a time of tremendous devastation in the entire land of Judah.  An enormous plague of locusts had come and stripped the entire country of all vegetation.  Famine and drought as well as starvation and death of man and animals was taking place.  This was the worst possible moment in the people’s lives, and they needed a solution.  The prophet Joel came with a solution:

Joel 1:13-14 Gird yourselves and lament, you priests; Wail, you who minister before the altar; Come, lie all night in sackcloth, You who minister to my God; For the grain offering and the drink offering Are withheld from the house of your God. 14 Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly; Gather the elders And all the inhabitants of the land
Into the house of the Lord your God, And cry out to the Lord.

The solution for this crisis is humility, repentance, prayer, and fasting.  This plague was a result of the people’s constant refusal to turn to God and follow His ways.  Therefore, He allows the effects of their disobedience to come upon them.  Turning back to Him is the only way to change their situation, and fasting is a sign of a true repentance and humbling of the heart.

In case the people did not want to take the advice of a mere prophet of God, The Lord Himself gives the solution for their problem in the very next chapter:

Joel 2:12-13 “Now, therefore,” says the Lord“Turn to Me with all your heart,
With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”  13 So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.

Here, God calls for repentance, fasting, and prayer.  Fasting is a true evidence of a desire to change and come into line with God and His purposes instead of partnering with our own flesh.  This is what will cause the grace and mercy of Heaven to be made evident in our lives.  This is not just a call for certain group of people like the holy priests or pastors.  Vs. 15-17 tells us that it is for:

  • People
  • The Congregation
  • Elders
  • Children
  • Babies
  • Newlyweds
  • Priests

No one is left out of this call to come to the Lord in repentance, fasting, and prayer.  No this is not a mandatory thing.  However, this is what is referring to in Vs. 28 after you come as an entire people in humility, repentance, fasting, and prayer then God will pour out His Spirit.  The apostles received The Holy Spirit after waiting and in unity in The Upper Room for 10 days.  We know they were praying together, but I believe they were fasting as well.  The outbreak of The Spirit at Azusa was a result of 10 days of fasting and praying together.

Here we are, committed to The Lord and each other for The 40.  What can God do with our hearts that come to Him in humility, repentance, fasting, and prayer?

Jesus, I ask that you will take this simple offering of my life, my commitment to you and use it for Your Kingdom.  I desire for The Great Outpouring of The Spirit that has so often been talked about.  I come to you in humility, repentance, fasting, and prayer right now.  Come and move in a mighty way that you may receive the glory that is due Your name!!!

Practical –

  • Read Joel 1-2
  • Ask Holy Spirit to reveal how you can partner with Him in your personal prayer time
  • Ask Him to reveal how to call your community into humility, repentance, fasting, and prayer
  • Be obedient to all that He speaks.

Be blessed with the power to partner with Holy Spirit in precipitating the Latter Rain.  May this lifestyle propel you into the next level with Him!

Jeremiah, Man on Fire!!!

Into the Wilderness We Go!

While in my prayer and soaking time two afternoons ago, I had been praying about some deep revelation and knowledge given to me that morning. If any of you have heard of or kept up with the story of Jeremiah Thomas, the 16 year-old fiery warrior diagnosed with terminal cancer set on seeing abortion’s death in America, you will see a story calling every believer in the Body of Christ to rise up and take the baton that fell to the ground on August 26, 2018 with his passing into Glory.

I have been deeply moved by this story and fight and it only stirs me up even more to storm the gates of hell and FIGHT FOR LIFE until I see the complete end of abortion not only in my land but across every nation. A fight like this will cost something, as a matter of fact, it will cost everything to go face to face against the enemy’s sole goal in the earth, to kill, steal, and utterly annihilate. This is my mandate. This is one part of the scroll of my life given to me in the most vivid heavenly encounter I have ever had in my life, in which I was taken up into Heaven the Sunday before Mother’s Day of this year…to give my life in the fight for His Little Ones. Perhaps one day I will share of this divine life-altering experience when I am finally able to pen it concisely and find the correct words to accurately describe all that took place.

I had discovered two mornings ago that Jeremiah’s father, Rusty Thomas had made a post on Facebook that he along with ten other pro-life activists were preparing to go to federal court today to face charges for interposition at the only remaining abortion clinic in the state of Kentucky on Mother’s Day last year. I encourage you to check out the link above and let it be a charge to you that there is a cost when we choose LIFE and when we choose to give our lives to save the lives of the most marginalized, voiceless, and helpless people. I believe that it is no coincidence that they are facing charges like this at the same time that Supreme Court Justice nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, is under his own scrutiny and battle. The enemy is hard-pressed in opposition of those who oppose his eternal purpose. We must pray that every God-ordained purpose is resilient and holds steadfast, to be found victorious!

While studying this, I was lit on fire in my research about Kentucky and the things I read as the state progresses towards being abortion-free. They, along with six other states are one abortion mill away from banning clinical abortion. In prayer over this, I received a powerful vision of the doors of the E.M.W. Women’s Clinic, the sole abortion mill in the state, with an eviction notice on their doors. I then saw the hands of Jesus slap a huge yellow sticker across the doors that said, “CLOSED PERMANENTLY.” It is then that I began to see a breakthrough take place and prior visions I have received about revival taking place in Kentucky reappeared and began to become a reality. It is then that the Lord gave me this Word concerning these matters and the REFORMATION that is to take place:

Prophetic Word for Kentucky- SEPTEMBER 5, 2018

“Getting back to the start, to the beginning, to the roots. From this place where I birthed the wave of outpouring into the nation, will I birth a new thing. Out of this place will come a dual wave of Righteousness and Justice embodied. Out of this place will I release a third wave new to the eyes and heart of man. Because of the exchange of selfishness for Righteousness, I will pour out a new vision.
No longer will the spilled blood of My Little Ones stain this soil! No longer will the shedding of innocent blood brood over you, Kentucky! For through you, I will set the standard for the whole of the nation to follow. Just as with the second great move of My Spirit that originated in the wilderness, purifying the disgusting debauchery from your soul, so will I do it again!
Your soil is Ripe for Harvest! I will make you a signpost along the Highway of Holiness, pointing out the way for those who come after you. Out of your heart will I birth a strategic blueprint for a restoration of the soul of Revival. Out of this place will a fire ignite in your church to arise and carry the weight of the influx that is coming.
Get ready Kentucky, for a baby boom is coming! Yes, the twins are being established in your womb! Not only will you see a baby boom in the natural- for all of the babies that would have been aborted are being given over to Salvation; Life will rage within your borders! Awakening and an enabling in the Body will arise to the spirit of Adoption. Babies will be saved and receive My family as their own. You will also experience a baby boom in the spiritual, for the wave of Righteousness will bring them in by the droves to your light!
I decree and declare that your buildings will not be large enough! Yes, back to the wilderness will you find yourself! Prepare your tents! Establish your tent pegs in the soil and let My Spirit breathe upon your laid down tents! Indeed, your Harvest is Ripe and Ready!

Brothers and sisters, I believe that we will not see sustained, wide-spread Revival in America until we see a dramatic transformation and reformation of mindset and lifestyle. No longer can we continue shedding innocent blood. The blood of 59 million innocent babies cries forth from the soil of our guilty nation, crying out for JUSTICE. God cannot bless a land that is spilling innocent blood for selfishness’ sake. It is against His nature, and the Word of God is clear on this matter…for the shedding of innocent blood, blood will be required.

I hear the voices of the masses crying out, “WHY?!” to the increase of disease, suicide, and death in this nation. It is deafening in my spirit. The answer is simple, my friends. Until we cease to offer our children as sacrifices on the altars of selfishness, we will continue to see a rise in these atrocities; for we have exchanged righteousness for selfishness. Blessings for curses. Life for death. The enemy has full authority to come against us, because we have made a transaction with him, just as Adam and Eve did in the Garden.

My Spirit is on fire for what the Lord is doing and I prophesy that we will see an end to abortion in the state of Kentucky and that we will see a strategic plan be put into place that will not only take care of the rise of adoptions within the Church, but that there will be those with financial influence that will step up and create organizations to fund and pay for adoption costs. I do not believe it will be totally free, for a decision of that magnitude, rescuing lives of the innocent, there will be a cost; but paying the cost displays the commitment. We have the perfect example set before us, for Jesus paid the highest cost to save us from death, and to bring us into His family through adoption.

Galatians 4:5-7 (TPT)
“Yet all of this was so that He would redeem and set free all those held hostage to the written law so that we would receive our freedom and a full legal adoption as His children. And so that we would know for sure that we are His true children, God released the Spirit of Sonship into our hearts—moving us to cry out intimately, ‘My Father! You’re our true Father!’ Now we’re no longer living like slaves under the law, but we enjoy being God’s very own sons and daughters! And because we’re His, we can access everything our Father has—for we are heirs of God through Jesus, the Messiah!”

Ephesians 1:5-6 (TPT)
“For it was always in His perfect plan to adopt us as His delightful children, through our union with Jesus, the Anointed One, so that His tremendous love that cascades over us would glorify His grace—for the same love He has for His Beloved One, Jesus, He has for us. And this unfolding plan brings Him great pleasure!”

Ephesians 1:3-6 (MSG)
“How blessed is God! And what a blessing He is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in Him. Long before He laid down earth’s foundations, He had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of His love, to be made whole and holy by His love. Long, long ago He decided to adopt us into His family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure He took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of His lavish gift-giving by the hand of His beloved Son.”

I leave you with two things: a powerful charge from Rusty Thomas at his son’s Homecoming Service below, and a charge of my own- what cost are you willing to pay for the lives of the innocent? What can you do to fight and take a stand for LIFE? Where can you put your time and energy that would further The Kingdom of God in this fight?
May your hearts be awakened, ignited, and empowered to RISE UP, FIGHT FOR LIFE, GIVE YOUR LIFE FOR HIS LITTLE ONES, and to STORM THE GATES OF HELL AND TAKE BACK WHAT THE ENEMY HAS STOLEN!!!

Proverbs 31:8-9 (NLT)
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves;
ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.”

The Importance of The One (Southeast Asia)

I have been back in the states for a few days now, but it is still almost unreal where I have gone and what God has done with me. For me, a normal person who said “Yes, I will follow”, it is almost unbelievable what God has done. After a week, 10 teams of three and four came back with an offering to the Lord of 4,612 souls. This is not including the healing, encouragement, and freedom that was ministered to countless people, churches, and other organizations. I praise God that I was able to contribute an offering to give glory to His name!!!

As I think back to some of the most powerful encounters with what God did over the trip, I am reminded of the importance of stopping for the one. All throughout Scripture, Jesus is teaching and ministering to large crowds of people, but is frequently interrupted by the one. One person needs some special attention, healing, freedom, or salvation. When this happens, Jesus does not ignore them and continue on to minister to the crowd, but gives them as much love, compassion, and care as the large crowds. He takes the time to minister to the one.

Even though we literally saw thousands of people come to know the Lord, the most powerful times were when God brought the one. The time I felt the most powerful move of God was for one person. God orchestrated things for me to preach at an evening service in a large church. The pastor of this church had some personal problems, but had still invited me to come and speak. Before even going, I was told not to expect anyone to come forward for an invitation time because it was culture for them to commit to follow Jesus later during a personal meeting with the pastor.

As I worshipped, I felt the presence of God in a mighty way, and as I spoke the word, I was experiencing part of His heart of compassion for the people. Although it has rarely happened, God moved me to tears as I called for His lost sons and daughters to come to their Good Father. No one moved, but I knew I was here for this purpose so I continued to press in. After some time, one lone girl in pink came down and knelt at the altar. She broke the cultural expectations, in front of over 100 people, and courageously came to The Good Father. Not too long after that three more came. I was so overcome, I could not even lead them in a prayer, but left that to the translator to do. As I went down and prayed for each one, the floor was wet with the tears of the this teenage girl. She remained there weeping for the whole ministry time as we prayed for the sick. Afterwards, the over abundance of joy that was exuding out of her was evidence that she had been changed. This is why I was there, for this one girl. The others were just a bonus from God for my obedience.

You may not be called at this moment to go and evangelize on a street corner to dozens of people or preach in a church or conference to hundreds or thousands. However, you are called to the one who does not know. One neighbor, family member, friend, or co-worker is who you are called to speak to. One cashier needs to hear the Truth. One worker in a store has been prepared to receive. One person at the park is hurting and in need. That is who you are called to no matter who you are.

I encourage you today, begin to look around you for the one who is hurting, lost, in need. Pray for them, then open your mouth and speak the truth that is in you. As you are faithful to shine the light that is in you, God will be faithful to bring more to you. Never forget, at one time, you were the one that needed someone to speak the truth to you and to be shown the heart of a Good Father. May God bless you to be the one to minister His heart to the one today, this week, and for the rest of your life!!!

Matthew 18:14 So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones be lost.

Isaiah 64:4 For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.

Rains of Revival

Previously my husband shared the word that the Lord had given him for Spain The Mighty Wind and the Dry Bones, however, I will recap a little bit before I share the word that God has given me. The day that we arrived in Spain Pastor JoseMaria picked us up from the airport, and he, with no relation to what we had been discussing, began to tell us about an unusually strong, strange wind that woke him up during the night a few times. I thought it odd that something so ‘strange and unusual’ would happen the night before our arrival. I immediately felt that there was something taking place in the spiritual and being made evident in the physical but decided to pray into this before sharing with anyone.

The next morning in prayer with Jeremiah, the Lord confirmed this word to me as he shared that this phenomenon caught his attention, and God had revealed the same thing to him. I took note of this and began praying throughout the week as to what this word meant for Spain. God reminded me of when Elijah prayed for rain. This event takes place at the end of the 3 1/2 year drought that Elijah prophesied over Israel as an affront to baal, who supposedly controlled the natural forces; which led to the contest on Mount Carmel where Elijah challenged the people of Israel, King Ahab and the prophets of baal to choose who to follow. Two altars were built, to God and to baal, and God made Himself known as the One True God by consuming with fire the drenched altar Elijah built. Now that Israel made the confession that the Lord is God, Elijah informed Ahab that a mighty rainstorm was coming. Elijah took his servant, climbed to the top of the mountain, and humbled himself, bowing low to the ground with his face between his knees praying. Six times he sent his servant to look out to the sea and each time, the servant returned, having seen nothing. Elijah sent him the 7th time, and this time the servant returned saying in 1 Kings 18:44, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.” Elijah immediately rose, told Ahab to return to Jezreel with haste and the Lord gave Elijah special strength to run ahead of Ahab’s chariot, beating him on the 17 mile trek to Jezreel.

Next, Verse 45 says “a heavy wind brought about a terrible rainstorm.” Just as wind brings about a change in the atmosphere and climate, so does Holy Spirit. The Lord told me through these verses that the “rain is coming.” Spain, as Jeremiah said, can be seen as a very dry place spiritually. And indeed, there has been many years of spiritual drought here. But there are churches of believers, missionaries and those praying for His Spirit to sweep across the nation again. This unification brings about blessing (Psalm 133.) When the people of Israel saw that their hearts belonged to something that didn’t exist, they came back to God. It was then that the tide shifted, and the time had come for the rain. Though there was no physical sign that his prayers were effective, Elijah persisted, knowing that God would come through, until he saw the fruit come forth through the ‘small fist sized cloud’. James 5:16-18 says, “…The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.” The last word that God gave me was that just as God enabled Elijah with ‘special strength’ to return before the rain came, He is enabling the people, ministries and churches here with special strength to be able to house the flood of people that will come when revival arrives.

Are there areas in your life that have been dry and lacking fruit? Are there things that you have been praying and contending for so long that the lack of results has brought discouragement and a dip in your faith? Take heart! My husband and I know very well that the dry times are difficult. We went through 10 months of waiting for change and direction and thought He wasn’t speaking to us. What we found when we heard the final word of “GO!” was that God had been speaking all along; we had just been so set on seeing giant fruit that it overshadowed the small fruit appearing. Though the cloud was so small, it was a harbinger of the ‘terrible rainstorm’ to come, meaning that the small things bring about the great things yet to come. God is faithful, and we must look ahead for the tiny fist sized cloud giving way in the distance. Ask Holy Spirit to reveal where He is working in the small things, be thankful for those things, but continue to press in for the larger things.

Blessings,

Katie, Pure Fire of Yahweh!!!
